I’d say that once you filter out all those people who were just trolling with their ratings, the average actually lands somewhere between a 6 and a 7. Honestly, I think most people probably view themselves as being right around that mark, just having a decent day 😳 😁

Most people are at least in the same ballpark—I agree there.🙂

The only time things get messy is when the standard deviation is massive.😬

What I was actually trying to say is that you might be looking at this wrong. For instance, if half the population gives you a 4 and the other half gives you a 6, the objective average is a 5—even though nobody actually gave you a 5. So, not every single grade is purely subjective.

I mean, sure, we can agree. People generally know who's gorgeous and who isn't—they just tend to bicker over what counts as "average."

If I’m looking at my build and how tall I am, I’m actually pretty happy with things—I definitely lucked out in those departments. But man, there’s this one specific thing about me that just drags my whole rating down. It’s super noticeable and totally changes the vibe, but there’s basically nothing you can do about it. Honestly, back when I was younger, I looked way worse than I do now. If I had been blessed with better luck on that one issue, I think I’d be sitting at an 8 or 9 today, though I know everyone has their own thing, right?

bluebadger112 said:I actually wanted to point out that you're mistaken here. Take a grading scenario, for example—half the population might give a score of 4, while the other half gives a 6. The objective average would be a 5, yet there isn't a single subjective opinion that actually matches it. Therefore, not every rating is purely subjective.

Of course, those numbers can align. People generally agree on who is strikingly beautiful or clearly unattractive; the disagreement usually only happens when we're trying to define "average."

If you're looking at it from a polling perspective, sure—you can use Gauss to derive a more objective value.
Though even that is culturally dependent.
For instance, someone considered short here might be seen as perfectly fine in Japan.
Beauty standards have shifted constantly through history, too—there's plenty of evidence suggesting the limits of any such study.
Beauty is an abstraction, even if you try to quantify it using specific metrics (facial symmetry, height, weight, etc.)...

The main point of my first comment was really about the sample size. It's nowhere near being objective.😁

Then there are those who claim they’ll say whatever comes to mind, regardless of whether we’re on good terms or not.🙂

OT: 2.5

I beg to differ.
Not even written down.

Take me for example: my self-confidence isn't some byproduct of external validation or how people react to me.

Second, there’s no way that 2.5 of yours qualifies as an average, no matter how you slice it. It doesn't even matter that you haven't actually proven anything yet; your sheer intelligence bumps the average up automatically. 🙂

There’s just something so devastatingly empty about this zero... maybe if we're lucky, Jojo will show up again to fill the void.☕

He sent me a photo, and if my memory serves me right, he shared it with someone else back then too, though I can't quite recall who...

It really just comes down to the culture you're in—it's pretty subjective like that.
For instance—someone who’s on the shorter side here would be considered a total knockout in Japan.
Beauty standards have always been shifting—honestly, there’s plenty of evidence out there showing just how much those boundaries can move.
Beauty is pretty much an abstraction—though you could technically quantify it with stuff like facial symmetry, height, or weight...

The point of my first comment was really more about the test sample—it’s nowhere near objective. 😁

Everyone here just judges themselves—it’s basically the definition of subjectivity.
Sure, beauty standards change depending on where you are—some tribes out there might actually think being thick is the peak of perfection.
Chloe Cooper10 said:Then there are those people who just say whatever's on their mind—regardless of whether we're actually on good terms or not.🙂

I wouldn't go along with that—not really.
Not even written down.

Take me for example—my confidence isn't really built on what other people think of me.

Second off—that 2.5 you’re talking about? It doesn't matter how you look at it, there is absolutely no way that qualifies as an average. Honestly, even if you haven't proven yourself yet, your intelligence alone pulls the whole average up automatically. 🙂

Virtue signaling—it's everywhere these days. Honestly, it feels like everyone's just performing for an audience instead of actually caring about the cause.
Virtue signaling—it’s everywhere lately. Honestly, it just feels like people are more interested in looking good than actually doing anything.

P.S. That’s just the average of all my grades so far—though, let’s be real, I’ve only actually received one. I’ve officially shown off to you, Drake, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Hannah Montana, ringing, Nick Jonas, Infinity... Who else do I need to impress before I can say I’ve truly made my mark?

Chloe Cooper10 said:Joe Biden, how much would you give him?🍿 You can count on me—I've got your back.🙂

Maybe she’s just biased because she actually likes people's quirks and imperfections—honestly, she'd probably be way more generous if that were the case. ☕ Don't go burning through your joker just yet—better save it. Just my own thing—nothing more, nothing less.Who knows when you might end up needing it again—honestly. ☕

Honestly, I’m way more curious about how many people here actually think they’re smart—and I mean like, all-around intelligence, not just being a math geek or whatever. 🍿

If my memory serves me right, I handed him 1.5 🥳

He went and hurt me in the meantime, so I'm cutting it down to 1 ☕

The point of this poll isn't about what everyone else thinks of you, it's about how much you would rate yourself ☕

Don't even worry about it, at least you managed to rack up some votes on a topic that actually requires intelligence ☕
