Hey everyone, can someone who actually knows their way around optics give me a hand? I’m looking at my eye exam results and I’m totally lost.
So, here is what the specialist wrote down:

OD: +0.50 cyl ax 75° = 1.0
OS: +0.75 cyl ax 95° = 1.0

I get the cylinder and axis stuff, but what on earth does this "1.0" even mean?
On top of that, when I look at my prescription paperwork, there’s zero mention of that "1.0." Plus, the lines for Dave Smith, Priscilla, and Bassi are all left blank... Does that mean my Dave Smith is 0.0? And is my farsightedness just because the cylinder is positive? I’m really trying to order some glasses online since it's way cheaper than going to the local shop, but I’m terrified of messing up the numbers. That "= 1.0" thing is driving me crazy. Help!

Plus, looking at my vision aid certification, there's no mention of this "1.0"—the fields for Dave Portnoy, Priscilla Presley, and Basis are all left blank... Does that mean my Dave Portnoy is 0.0? And is the farsightedness because the cylinder is positive? I'm asking because I really want to just order glasses online since they're way cheaper, but I'm terrified of messing up the data entry. That 1.0 means you hit 100% visual acuity with those lenses.
