Keyboard recommendations?

I’m probably going to pull the trigger on this next month, unless anyone here happens to have some horror stories or negative experiences to share?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a budget-friendly wired keyboard that features play/pause controls positioned on the left side—somewhere easily reachable by my left hand?

Razer is basically becoming the DJI of the keyboard world. You've got mechanical, optical, RGB everything—every single key has its own LED, you can pick any color, there's dedicated software for customization and lighting effects, plus built-in hardware effects, detachable cables, even the CEO's signature and custom stickers... If you aren't a fan of purple (personally, I love it), they have red options too (referring to the switches, specifically the noise level and tactile feel). And just to clarify: yes, it’s mechanical, but the actuation is actually optical (it uses a light beam sensor).

I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard with a wrist rest, obviously with RGB, a numpad, and media keys. Budget is around $85 or maybe a little more if it's worth it.

Mainly for gaming and cranking out long docs. We use some basic Logitech mechanicals at my office, and the difference is night and day compared to what I actually want.

Good luck finding anything high-quality for under $80

I don't know why anyone would bother with this. It’s like buying a used sedan when you could get a brand-new Ford for the same price. Total waste of money.

Since nobody on the other forums even bothered to reply, I’m guessing there isn't anything worth a damn under $80. Even if I bump the budget up to $100, am I still just looking at junk?

Everything I mentioned matters—the wrist rest, RGB, the numpad... okay, maybe I can live without the media keys, but I listen to music constantly, so having those controls right on the keyboard is a huge plus for me.

I'm bumping the budget to $100. If nobody has any actual suggestions, I'll just go ahead and browse the deals myself.

Does it have to be an HR layout, or is a US one okay?

Grab a wrist rest separately.
You might get more bells and whistles if you go with some off-brand, but cheap mechanical boards can be garbage. My buddy had one... after two years, the keys were basically mush.
