Look, since we're all inevitably getting older 😁 , let's make this thread a fight against Alzheimer's πŸ˜›πŸ‘

Jokes aside... seriously though... let's just use this space to dump some memories 😳

Here are a few prompts to get us started:

1) Your earliest memory?
This is a fascinating one. What do you remember from when you were tiny 😁? How far back does it actually go? Is it a genuine memory, or just some mental mirage you've built up over the years? Or maybe even a leftover from a past life? 😲

2)
What sticks out from your preschool, elementary, or high school days?

3)
What scents trigger nostalgia? Like, what smell hits you today and immediately transports you back to decades ago?

4)
Is there a specific guy (or girl) you remember vividly? Not necessarily someone you dated or even knew well, but someone who just stuck in your mind for some random reason?
And what about those characters who drifted through your life like they were part of a novel? It doesn't matter whyβ€”maybe it was a clerk at the local Post Office or some neighborhood weirdo like a certain Cortez from your old block.

5)
What are some "firsts" you still hold onto? Things you did, places you visited, or experiences you had for the very first time? (And please, don't start telling me stories about your wild nights out... 😁)

6)
Do you have any vivid dreams from way back that still feel incredibly real today?

Etc.

So, what's filling up your brain's hard drive right now? 😁 What would you never want to forget, and if you had a delete button, what would you wipe instantly? 😁

Hey, Ethan Morales22, you old soul, you aren't even a hundred years old yet πŸ™‚

Looking at what you wrote above, you could probably write a five-volume novel about it 😳
I don't have the time right now, but I might type up some notes later πŸ™‚

You could probably write a whole trilogy based on that rant above.😳
I'm busy right now, but I might drop some thoughts later.πŸ™‚

Same goes for when I actually sit down at my PC.πŸ™‚

Regarding what you wrote above... I suppose you could probably write a five-volume novel about it. 😳
I don't have the time right now, though I might be able to type up some short notes later on. πŸ™‚

It’s the same thing whenever I finally sit down at my computer. πŸ™‚

I remember being totally head over heels for this one girl in my preschool class, but she completely blew me off. To make matters worse, some other kid was constantly picking on me... man, what a nightmare. 😁

Here I πŸ™‚

Regarding point number one -
1) Earliest memory?
So this is a pretty interesting question. What can you actually remember from when you were tiny 😁? How far back does it go? Is it just some mental mirage, or is it a genuine memory? Or maybe even a leftover from a past life? 😲

When I was little (I can't even tell you how old I was, maybe 2 or 3 πŸ€”), my Dad worked night shifts as a security guard for a long time. He’d sleep during the day while Mom was at work. Anyway, one time I was bored out of my mind, so I climbed up onto the bed where Dad was sleeping. He was lying on his side, and without really thinking about itβ€”I just sat right on his head because I thought it would be funny 😍. Then, naturallyβ€”I farted πŸ™‚. Dad just looked up and said, "Well, great. Now you can flush the toilet too." 🀣

Sweet memories. πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

πŸ™‚

Yeah, I still remember my late grandfather. He was pure kindnessβ€”honestly, the kind of soul I haven't come across once since he passed. 😒 I was only about three and a half when he died, 😒 but certain moments are burned into my brain. One scene I’ll never forget is when the paramedics showed up to take him to the hospital. There were two of them, one on each side, guiding him through the front door. That was the last time I ever saw him; he passed away at the hospital. 😒

I have this one memoryβ€”maybe it’s just a dream at this point, I honestly can't tellβ€”but it feels like my earliest one. I must have been two or three years old. We were all just playing tag around the houseβ€”my sister, Mom, Dad, and me. Being the youngest, I used to think it was hilarious to hide in corners or squeeze into closets to stay out of sight... πŸ™‚
Dad died in a car wreck while he was working out of state for his company... I was only three. So, if this is a real memory, it's probably the last time I ever saw him.

...

I still remember my very first day of school...😁
Back then, my mom was pulling some serious strings with her best friend to make sure I got placed with a great teacher like Dorothy... but then, out of nowhere, I get called into the office because they assigned me to someone else instead. It turned into this absolute chaotic scramble, a total emergency intervention just to make sure I actually ended up in the class they originally intended for me 🀣

Yeah, I remember that too. There were so many kids, just waiting forever while they called out names. They went through classes A, B, C, and D, and by the time they finally reached Class E, my name was called 😍 we honestly thought they'd forgotten us. I also remember the day my piano arrivedβ€”that was actually a year before school started. My Dad and the movers were lugging the piano into the house, and I was sitting on the couch in the room I shared with my sister. I had my brand new music notebook, a pencil, and an eraser sitting right on my lap. In that moment, I felt this strange sense of happiness, almost like it was a ceremony. πŸ™‚

I still remember Daniel's first day of schoolβ€”he actually had an accident and started crying right there. My heart just broke for him.
By the second day, I was already walking to school on my own.
Then a couple weeks later, just after those heavy rains damaged the bridge, it finally gave out right after I crossed it.
It was just one of those old wooden footbridges.

Just wanted to point out that with Alzheimer's, it's usually recent memories that fade first, while those old, deep-seated ones stick around until almost the very end.
So we aren't really fighting Al, but it sure is 😁

1.)I can still picture my third birthdayβ€”the cake, the candles, and all those kids screaming when we finally blew them out. My buddy who lived right next door couldn't even wait for the big moment; he just went ahead and shoved his fingers straight into the frosting 🀣we all ended up doing the exact same thing right after πŸ™‚then this kid saw his chance and planted a huge kiss on my forehead, which basically kicked off total chaos at the party πŸ™‚

That’s the one specific memory I have from that day, though we talked about it at basically every single birthday we had until we were adults 🀣

I still remember back in high school when (let's call him Mark) ticked me off so badly that I grabbed a massive math textbook and slammed it right onto his head. 😳 Total silence. Everyone was just scribbling away, the only sound being the occasional scratch of a pencil, until suddenlyβ€”*bam!*β€”it sounded like a bolt of lightning hitting the room. 😳 Honestly, he had it coming, though. 😳 And once, another kid sneezed right in the middle of class, and the girl sitting next to me just looked up and asked, "Is it thundering outside or something?" 🀣

Honestly, I don't think Alzheimer's is even a real thing. It's just something they tell old people to mess with them. A buddy of mine had a grandpa dealing with this, and he told me that after lunch, the old man would just sit down in his recliner and ask when lunch was going to be served. You can tell right away he's just messing around.β˜•

Klonov diseaseβ˜•

I can still vividly remember exactly what I had for lunch yesterday. That's my most recent memory.β˜•
