2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix: June 23–25

Max Verstappen was absolutely flying today.
I remember one time when Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton were neck and neck; Vettel was clocking in at 321-322, while Hamilton was pushing 348. 😁

It is frankly pathetic, if such a thing were even possible; they seem to hand out penalties to everyone under the sun except for Mercedes. It truly feels like the entire circus revolves around them at this point. 🤦

In any case, bravo Sebastian Vettel, you managed to leave Lewis Hamilton in your wake. 🙏

Calling that race "controversial" is honestly an understatement.
Total chaos!

Even though they were definitely involved in those incidents, the Mercedes-Benz crew walked away without any penalties.

Is it actually possible that Hamilton's HANS device came loose when Sebastian Vettel made that side impact?
I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like that happen before...

Asking through the team radio for Bottas to slow down just so he can hold up Sebastian Vettel.

Valtteri Bottas deserved a five-second penalty for that. This is the second time this season we've seen the exact same situation play out...

You’ve got a car that's basically a rocket ship in qualifying—like, a second and a half faster than everyone else—then the FIA hits Sebastian Vettel with a ten-second penalty, and he just goes out there and outclasses them all again anyway. I guess it doesn't matter what they throw at him, he still finds a way to make it look easy.

If you ask me, Bottas is getting uncomfortably close to Hamilton. At this rate, isn't it only a matter of time before those team orders start flying?

Finally, a race that actually felt like those old-school battles from the 80s and 90s—just pure chaos between teammates, some aggressive blocking out there, and constant overtaking... maybe even a couple of those crazy triple overtakes where the third guy jumps the top two and then the second guy lunges past the leader. I guess the SC lasted a bit too long, but honestly, that’s just part of the fun

Lewis Hamilton just played himself—doing all those stupid little things and slowing down completely blew a win he basically had in his pocket.

Look, if there’s actually any debate about whether Lewis should be punished, then it’s a non-issue when you bring Bottas into it. That chemical mess during the first lap—that's enough to warrant a penalty squared.
