What an absolute shitshow of a race.
Karma really is a bitch, Lewis. I honestly think he’s going to have a massive uphill battle fighting for the title this year, but the real kicker is that he might end up losing it to a driver who is even more obnoxious than he is.
It’s not like they’re crazy over at Ferrari for sticking by Kimi Räikkönen; the guy just seems to act like a sponge for all the negativity and bad vibes. Meanwhile, when you look at how calm he stays at Ferrari despite everything, it’s wild—one tiny issue on his car feels like five major crises on Kimi's...
Huge congrats to Ricci on the win.
And man, the roasting of Stroll has officially begun. 🤮

mellowtiger83 said:Woohoo, so Vettel intentionally veered into Lewis Hamilton? Unbelievable. Who cares about him? Hamilton has every right to slow him down while leading. It was up to Vettel to adjust his pace, but intentionally swerving like that is at least worthy of a warning.

Who cares...
Pizdek deserved a penalty just as much as Vettel did. Vettel's penalty was totally justified, but I’m still glad that Pizdek got wrecked...

But tell me, are you done with Hamilton forever after that team radio bullshit? 🙂
The guy is always looking for a fight with anyone on his own team and absolutely hates following team orders... if he'd told the team to slow down Bottas, wouldn't he have just rammed Vettel instead? 🙏🤣

mellowtiger83 said:I’m pretty much done with this sport. After those 10 seconds instead of a black flag? It makes zero sense. Intentionally hitting someone—INTENTIONALLY—gets you a mere 10-second penalty? Now that German prick can just flip everyone off and do whatever he wants. Look, I’m not defending Hamilton, if they decide he braked unnecessarily then fine, but Vettel wtf. That's it. I'm officially leaving the forum. Disgusting.

And how exactly did you decide it was intentional? 🤣
Was Vettel actually aiming for Hamilton on purpose? Maybe he was just steering with his junk. 🙂

It was obvious Vettel lost his mind, pulled up next to Hamilton, started waving his arms around, and clearly slammed into him. But sure, let's pretend it wasn't on purpose...
Because if you were actually certain he meant it, Hamilton wouldn't have even finished the race...

Did Vettel steer into Hamilton on purpose? Maybe he was just swinging the wheel wildly for no reason. 🙂

It was perfectly clear that Vettel lost his cool, lunged toward Hamilton while waving his arms around, and subsequently slammed into him. However, claiming it was premeditated is a stretch...
Because if he were certain he could take Hamilton out of the race...

You misunderstood me. I'll keep following the sport, but I'm done with this forum. There is far too much nonsense and stupidity here.

As for the second incident, that was deliberate interference. It was pure intent, and there is no debate there; Vettel acted like a total jerk.

Consider this my response to you on this thread, and it shall be my final post here.

If Lewis Hamilton doesn't get penalized, there's zero point in watching this sport anymore.
Vettel, on the other hand, absolutely needs a penalty for being unsportsmanlike.

It’s a total joke that Lewis Hamilton didn't get slapped with a penalty for that nonsense, especially since the rules are crystal clear...
Meanwhile, Vettel got his penalty exactly according to the books.

This isn't the first time Sebastian Vettel has plowed into the car ahead during a safety car period. About nine or ten years ago, he took out Mark Webber at Monza under Ross Brawn's leadership, then about five years ago, he nearly slammed into Jenson Button in Singapore, and back in 2012 in Abu Dhabi, he almost hit a driver for Rosso. So, if you draw your own conclusions about who is responsible for this crash, his behavior immediately afterward just proves what kind of nasty character we're dealing with—which is exactly why he earned that black flag.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel got hit with a penalty right in line with the regulations.

It’s kind of funny, isn't it? Right before all this, Hamilton is on the team radio complaining that the safety car is moving too slow, and then suddenly he just basically stops dead on the narrowest part of the track, and everyone acts like it's totally fine...

And that second thing was intentional sabotage—pure intention, no doubt about it. Vettel acted like a complete jerk.

There, I answered you, and this is my last post on this thread.

If anyone acted like a jerk, it was Hamilton...
Between brake testing Vettel and whining over the Mercedes team radio for Bottas to slow down just so he could finally catch Vettel, it's pretty clear.🤦

Vettel is a headache, nothing new there.🤣
He’s definitely capable of pulling something like that, I have zero doubts, but I’m fairly certain this wasn't intentional... if it were, it wouldn't have been so weak. It would've been a hit to the side, not the wheel.

But even if it was, the penalty they handed out for "intentional" behavior was fair enough.
The impact was totally insignificant given Hamilton's speed of around 3.7 miles/h. There was zero real danger from a hit like that.🙂

But sure, Bottas crashing into Kimi at a much higher speed isn't dangerous at all. Not even a little. Because everyone knows when a silver car slams into you, there's absolutely no danger involved.🙂

James Harris34 said:This isn't the first time Vettel has smashed into the guy in front during a safety car period. About 9 or 10 years ago, he took out Mark Webber at Monza under Ross Brawn's watch and knocked him right out of the race.

And our hero Lewis Hamilton? He was pulling similar crap on Webber back then and didn't get a single penalty. 🙂
As far as I'm concerned, Hamilton was clearly the one at fault for that crash, and even then, the FIA acted totally blind and insane during the race, if I recall correctly.
Bernie was busy scrubbing any footage from the stands that popped up online after the race, but hey, FOM failed to capture it officially, so it never hit the broadcast and no penalty was handed out. 😁

EDIT: fine, here...
http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2007/10/0...gp-highlights/
Even though they eventually saw the footage that Bernie couldn't manage to delete (it's still in the link above),

http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2007/10/0...er-fuji-crash/
They ended up slapping Vettel with a penalty once the video surfaced, but still—nothing for Hamilton. 🤣
In the end, nobody was responsible for the collision because, obviously, it could never be Hamilton's fault. Ever. 🙂

Grow up, seriously.
I swear, if Lewis Hamilton made that move just to avoid having Sergio Perez dump his car right onto Sebastian Vettel's gearbox, I'm going to lose it. He clearly knew that kind of driving would trigger total chaos behind him, he just didn't expect things to spiral quite this badly. And then you've got all that mess later in the race, especially with Ferrari's engine issues popping up like they did back in Melbourne.
Talk about getting schooled in the most brutal way possible.

The next race is going to be absolute chaos...
If Vettel manages to snag even one more point in Austria, he’s looking at a race ban at Silverstone.

I honestly wonder how many times Bottas has to slam into Vettel in Austria before his blood pressure actually hits the roof.

He’s solid, so hopefully he actually manages to grab that podium spot you were sketching out earlier.

That damn Stroll just got lucky today, while Hulkenberg—who is clearly a top-tier driver—can't even sniff a podium, and honestly, it drives me absolutely insane.

Stroll got lucky today, while Hulkenberg—who is clearly the superior driver—can't seem to break into the top three. It’s honestly infuriating.

Look, if it's frustrating for both of us, just imagine how Hulk feels.
I still see a true racer in Hulkenberg. In my opinion, Stroll and Perez are just drivers who follow the money.

Totally. No intent there, you could see it from the replay.
But that second hit is what really matters. That’s what forced Lewis into the pits and cost him all that time.
I'm guessing Vettel gets penalized for the first one, the rear-end collision.

Like someone said, karma is a bitch.
Lewis basically handed away his win today. It was entirely his own fault, driven by his own theatrics. If he had any sense, he would've learned something from this mess.

Max-nem just had zero luck today 😢

But that second hit is actually the dealbreaker. That’s what forced Lewis into the pits and cost him precious time.
I'm assuming Vettel gets penalized for the first contact, the one from behind.

Like they say, karma is a bitch.
Lewis basically handed over his chance at winning today—it was entirely down to his own driving antics. If he played it smarter, he might have actually learned something from this mess.

From what I gathered, Finger was waving both hands immediately after clipping Lewis, even before he was fully behind him. Then he put his right hand back on the wheel, pulled away, and moved to Hamilton's left side, where he kept waving his left hand while keeping his right on the wheel—which tells me he definitely had the car under control.

Check it out around the 7-second mark.

Dirty move.

And honestly, Seb really needs to watch his spacing when he's trailing someone—just basic racing etiquette, you know? 😬
