Can someone please delete my account? I'm being bullied.

Someone here has been stalking me and sending unwanted messages—it's getting really uncomfortable. I’d appreciate it if you could either delete my profile or just ban this person entirely. Please, 😢((

Report the private message so we can take actual steps against this stalker, provided there’s enough evidence to act. Alternatively, you could just disable your DMs entirely. Profiles aren't being deleted.

I’d really love to be able to wipe my own account, or perhaps have someone else clear out a specific user if needed. But it looks like that's not happening here, so no worries. Thanks anyway!

You don't actually have to shut down your private messages entirely... there's a better way. You can just add specific people—you know, the ones you actually want hearing from you—to your contact list. Then, if you head into your settings, you can set a restriction so that only those contacts are allowed to slide into your inbox...

Those links you shared refer to features built into the forum software itself, which is what most major American message boards use. However, the owners and admins here at this site simply don't allow profile deletions, a topic we have already exhausted multiple times on this subforum.

Sending unwanted private messages doesn't really qualify as bullying in my eyes; unlike real-life bullying, it's incredibly easy to just avoid it, and the methods to do so have already been laid out.

If a problematic DM is reported and the administration decides a member has legitimate reason to feel harassed by those messages, they will penalize the sender—not by nuking their profile, but by issuing the appropriate warning or ban.

Look, I get it—but honestly, I just want my profile deleted anyway. That way, if I ever feel like coming back down the road, I can always just start fresh with a new one. It feels pretty silly to be asking someone not to delete

Profiles aren't deleted. Just stop using this one and open a new account if you really want to... end of story.

And that’s exactly what I plan to do. As for this current account, I'll leave it up to the admins to delete it—if they don't, well, then it stays.
