I’m hoping Kimi finally finds his rhythm, but let's be real—I'm not holding my breath...

Look, I get it. Testing is always a massive question mark, and the numbers don't mean much on their own. Especially with these Pirelli tests where nobody even knew what kind of rubber they were running...
But still, seeing him three seconds behind Vettel? That's a massive gap, regardless of whatever excuses people try to dig up...

I totally get that testing is always a massive question mark—results from these sessions rarely tell the whole story—and these Pirelli tests were especially weird since nobody even knew what kind of rubber they were running on...
But still, seeing him sitting three seconds behind Vettel? That feels like a massive gap, regardless of whatever excuses we try to throw at it...

Well, I was at least expecting you to have a handle on the basics here.

Kimi was only testing on full wets, whereas Vettel was running intermediates on a track simulation that was actually drying out....

We all understand that testing is inherently unpredictable and that raw data rarely tells the full story, particularly during these Pirelli sessions where there was such widespread confusion regarding which specific tire compounds were actually being utilized...

However, even taking everything else into account, seeing him clock in three seconds behind Sebastian Vettel suggests a massive deficit that is difficult to ignore, regardless of how many technical excuses one might attempt to conjure up...

From what I can gather, it doesn't even appear as though they were testing identical tire components...

Look, I get it—testing is always a massive question mark, and the numbers don't necessarily tell the whole story. Especially with these Pirelli tests, where you're basically flying blind because nobody even knows what kind of rubber they're running...
But still, seeing him sitting three seconds behind Sebastian Vettel? That’s a massive gap. Regardless of whatever excuses we try to cook up, that’s a huge deficit to be staring down...

They ran full wets one day and intermediates the next... give it a rest with the Sebastian Vettel worship already; he’s hardly in the top five drivers on the planet right now.

Kimi isn't actually any worse behind the wheel than Sebastian Vettel, it’s just that he had way more bad luck on his hands...

Is it possible that Kimi Räikkönen possesses superior skill, even if Sebastian Vettel manages to find a bit more raw speed? 🙂

Based on the latest teasers, it looks like this year's engine note might actually have some real bite to it:

Not really—he just got absolutely crushed by Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.

The new Renault livery finally dropped, and—well—I have to say, I’m not exactly blown away...

They're at the back now, so they went with black 😂

They're basically just copying the McLaren-Honda look 😁

Is there anyone truly capable of performing worse than McLaren-Honda? It seems almost impossible... 🙂

The official Formula 1 website has finally unveiled the layout for the upcoming race in Las Vegas:

If you ask me, the design doesn't look half bad; it seems quite wide and offers plenty of high-speed sections for what is essentially a street circuit, where speeds are reportedly expected to reach 211 miles/h

"We’re looking at a knockout format across all three sessions. People were definitely buzzing about whether they could actually get the software ready before the deadline but from what I'm hearing, Formula 1 officials have stepped up and promised everything is on track. Honestly, though, the way they've overhauled Q3 is what's really caught everyone in the pits off guard."

I’ve been digging into the technical lineup over at the Haas F1 Team:
Günther Steiner (Team Principal)
Rob Taylor (Chief Designer)
Ben Agathangelou (Chief Aerodynamicist)

From what I can gather looking at their resumes, these guys aren't exactly nobodies.
Or maybe they actually are? Does anyone here actually know the deal with them?

By all appearances, they are looking like Ferrari's B-team. I'm increasingly convinced by what Joe is saying—that they might just be the big surprise of the 2016 season.
