Anyone who took a hit should be standing with the fans.
That was back in 2007—now it’s 2022. Where have all these "experts" been all these years? They sat on the sidelines watching it unfold. Instead of the BBB leading a front against the ownership and the police for the sake of the entire supporter scene, the Rangers and everyone else just sit there acting like nothing matters.
And then they act surprised when things get ugly. You can't just cry once you're backed into a corner; you have to act preventatively before the squeeze happens. That seems to be the pattern here—plenty of whining after getting hit, but zero initiative to prevent the blow in the first place.
Whining isn't going to fix anything. This repression has been going on for two decades and it's only intensifying. It’s not just the Rangers being targeted—though they certainly get the brunt of it. I don't follow the logic of these posts, implying the crackdown only hits one group. If anything, the BBB received special treatment leading up to the title celebration, with management essentially playing favorites to ensure the Rangers weren't part of the victory. In reality, the logical move for this derby would have been to celebrate the title IN FRONT OF the Rangers, not by excluding them.
Before you post, perhaps try thinking for a second.
And who exactly is "against the fans" regarding police repression? Is someone suggesting we're on the side of the cops while they're out there cracking skulls? If that's the argument, I'm out. I have no interest in debating such idiocy or trying to convince anyone of something that is fundamentally self-evident.
