I really overshot my own expectations here.
What should I prioritize for an upgrade in your opinion?
I was thinking about picking up a new CPU.😵

What would you all suggest for an upgrade at this stage?
My initial thought was to pick up a new processor.😵

I am reaching out to this community because, as I previously mentioned, I believe I have squeezed every last drop of performance out of my current GPU—it truly was the ultimate value play.
$667 🍿

Brian Campbell36 said:I'm asking around to see what everyone thinks, just like I mentioned earlier that I was going to do. $667 Squeezed out every bit of performance from this GPU. Definitely a best buy. 🍿

You're just overthinking it; one wrong move and you're done.

Just take a look at your $200.

Stop talking nonsense; my intention was always to acquire a card in the
$667 😁
price range.
Look, if you actually have the cash to burn, go ahead and grab an RTX 3080, but for me, this card represents the absolute ceiling when compared to a 7770 🍿
.
Allow me to pose a question to the community (and feel free to ignore this clown): is it permissible to stress-test a graphics card during its warranty period without having the manufacturer claim user negligence? Furthermore, does this specific model come with a factory overclock, or not? 🤔

I maintain that I made no error in selecting this card; in my estimation, up to $667 it remains the ultimate best buy.

I haven't been following everything closely, but from what I can gather, you paid $633 for an R9 280? If that's the case, then no, you definitely got ripped off. Not trying to be mean, just being honest.

If that is indeed the case, then I must say, you didn't come out ahead. No hard feelings, but I am simply being honest with you.

That overclocking comes standard with every manufacturer; it’s just a marketing gimmick where they bump the clock speeds by 20MHz so you get maybe one extra FPS.

Man, prices have spiked everywhere, so there probably wasn't a better deal out there.
If he'd actually pulled the trigger two weeks ago when he was supposed to, then we could talk about whether it was a good move or not.

If he had actually pulled the trigger two weeks ago when the window was open, then we might actually have a meaningful debate about whether he missed his chance or not.

The Benchmark Index (Win7) immediately spits out a 7.9 rating, which is essentially the ceiling. 🍿

The graphics performance and gaming capabilities are hitting top-tier marks. 🙏

Give it another year of these same upgrades and the thing will practically be flying.

Maybe if you squeeze one more year out of this thing, it’ll actually fly.

You seem pretty hyped about the wrong stuff. 🍿 I probably wouldn't bother rebuilding the whole rig either. 🍿

What do you mean it wasn't? 😉 CLICK CLICK If I'm reading this right, that 280k went for 1900. 🤔

That's just an RMA for a GPU with a 6-month warranty.

It’s probably one of those units that leaked oil and/or fried a capacitor.

Brian Campbell36 Don't get too worked up over the Windows index—it’s pretty much useless for what you actually care about. You're better off just jumping into a game and seeing what your actual FPS looks like.

On Centro.com, there was an entry back in 1928, $8.00 😁

http://www.centro.com/details_product...-hdmi-dvi.aspx

With the dollar climbing steadily, isn't it inevitable that we will see it surge past $2,000 USD? 🍿
