Jesse Campbell said:As far as that "Should Be" crowd goes—the ones who aren't just Mamić's little instigators—they’re either a bunch of lazy slackers doing absolutely nothing all day, or they're just some unrefined kids who need to grow up and eat a few more meals before they should even be allowed to have an opinion...

I am absolutely certain that anyone who has backstabbed this group over the last few years will either be held accountable or face a full interrogation by the guys running things today...

Look, the point isn't just to throw out random suggestions for the sake of hearing ourselves talk. We don't have enough people on this committee to be playing around and catering to anyone's pipe dreams. This group isn't some social circle of fair-weather friends here to nod along. If you're going to bring an idea to the table, you better have a practical solution ready to go alongside it...

For instance, I find myself in agreement with the sentiment expressed here that the group’s media presence is incredibly lackluster, which is a massive oversight. However, my approach wouldn't be to point fingers at specific leadership members or suggest they handle it themselves; instead, I’d simply get together with my own guys and find someone capable to step up as our spokesperson...

It really boils down to this: problem leads to solution. Your ideas don't mean a damn thing if you aren't actually prepared to step up and execute them...

Of course you have to present an idea alongside its actual solution; I mean, what other way is there to do it? You can't just throw out a concept and then, when someone asks for your take on it, dodge the question by saying, "Don't ask me, I'm just making suggestions..." 🙄 I probably went about this all the wrong way yesterday, and maybe I chose the wrong place to air my grievances, but I refuse to accept the logic being thrown around here. I am tired of the narrative that if I’m not some paid provocateur working for Mamić, then I must be some useless bystander or just some kid who’s never stepped up for the group—someone who supposedly doesn't even have a right to an opinion...
It’s funny—everything else you wrote, I actually agree with, more than I probably should... even if we don't always see eye to eye on everything else... 🙂

Amy Ramos24 said:Obviously you gotta pitch an idea along with a solution, right? Otherwise what’s the point? You can't just drop an idea and then play dumb when people ask for details, like "don't ask me, I'm just suggesting." 🙄 Maybe I went about things the wrong way yesterday or said it at the wrong time, but I still don't buy the logic that if I'm not some Mamić's provocateur, then I'm either useless or just some kid who's never stepped up for the group and therefore doesn't get a vote...
It's funny, because everything else you wrote, I actually agree with, whether you think I do or not. 🙂

Look, I'm not the decision maker here. My opinion is just a post from an older member sharing what I've seen. That doesn't mean I'm out of the loop or not involved in stuff. And yeah, you caught on—I don't care who else wrote it. You seem sharp enough to get that.

Anyway. Honestly, I think the bigger issue right now isn't leadership ignoring people; it's that hardly anyone is actually helping out. People need to figure out how to be useful first before they worry about being heard.

Take the futsal team, for example. Everyone calls it maybe the best project in BBB history. You think that just happens by magic? People are working themselves to death to make it happen.

Right now, we're the most watched club in the city, yet we have zero employees. GNK prčija has 220, Medveščak has 45, and futsal Dinamo has 0.

So, the first step should be asking how I can help make this run better and take some weight off the people currently breaking their backs. Get it?

See? This is how you actually communicate without resorting to insults. If everyone just stuck to this, we wouldn't have these issues.

Are we heading to see Belup tomorrow or what? I heard some radio segment on Thursday and now I’m totally lost regarding the lists—are they gone or not? After the OS incident, I couldn't snag tickets for the derby, and honestly, my record is clean. I mean, I have a driving ban for another four months—which is a whole different thing—but logically speaking, those two things have nothing to do with one another.

Jesse Campbell said:So, first off, what you really need to do is ask how I can step up to make this whole operation run smoother and actually lighten the load for the people currently breaking their backs to keep things afloat. You get me?

You know, everything you’re laying out here would be absolutely brilliant if we weren't dealing with generations of fans who have been essentially conditioned through fear by the leadership—you know, that classic "shut up, cheer, and stay in line" routine delivered via megaphone. If you look back about ten years, there were kids in my crew who actually caught hands just for suggesting "new ideas" that were frankly ahead of their time. And more often than not, any move made independently was crushed before it could even breathe. So, please, don't act surprised when you see a massive crowd, especially the younger generation, looking toward some big-shot authority figure for direction. It explains why the internet is flooded with people saying "it should be this way" instead of actually having the guts to voice those ideas face-to-face. That’s just the reality of it. I am 100% on board with your sentiment, truly, but you can't cast blame at the people for expecting someone else to take charge for the group, especially when for years the rule has been that "decisions happen behind closed doors," and if anyone dared to step outside that obedient herd, the guys running the show back then had a very... efficient way of handling it.🥱

There needs to be some semblance of order; you can't just have everyone doing their own thing without any direction.

And Jesse Campbell, if anyone actually needs a hand, maybe try asking people to show up early or stay late to help out—or even just bring something useful to the table.
If you ask nicely for people to bring scarves or flags for the futsal Dinamo match, or offer a hand where it's needed,
I'm certain plenty of folks would step up.
It’ll be one group today and another tomorrow, which would certainly take some weight off the shoulders of those who are always stuck doing the heavy lifting.

If you just put the word out that you need more scarves or flags brought to the futsal game, or if any other kind of help is needed, I think people would step up.
I truly believe certain individuals would definitely answer the call.
It might be one group today and another tomorrow, but it would certainly take the pressure off the folks who are always stuck doing all the heavy lifting.

Taylor Sanchez3 said:Look, what you're saying would be great if we weren't dealing with generations of fans raised to be terrified of leadership. It was always just shut up, cheer, and stay in line. Like ten years ago, kids in my crew were getting slapped just for having "new ideas" that were actually ahead of their time. Half the time, people taking initiative got shut down immediately. So don't act surprised that most people—especially the kids—look for some big leader to follow. That’s why everyone online acts like they have an opinion but lacks the balls to say anything in person. I totally agree with your post, but you can't blame them for expecting someone else to lead. For years, everything worked because "everyone knows where the decisions are made," and if anyone stepped out of line from the obedient crowd, the tough guys back then handled it pretty brutally. 🥱

I was a kid once too. Back in the 80s, things were way more dangerous than they are for kids today. Getting slapped out of nowhere or getting your money snatched was just part of life. You went to games with extra cash just so the older guys wouldn't take it all.

Through actual work, organization, and grinding, my crew, the Little Boys, became the backbone of the stands during the last few Major League Baseball seasons.

We used to collect our own cash, head to New York City to buy pyrotechnics, make banners, and then the so-called Godfather fan club, BBB, was set up and basically handed us the reins when we were just 16 or 17.

So when I wrote about the Supporters' School, it wasn't some fantasy (like how the Corleones love to claim on Facebook and forums); it was straight from experience.

Today, there are way more ways to help the group than there were 25 years ago. Organize yourselves first, then come talk to the key people about how to help. For example, after every futsal game, the gym needs cleaning. Start there. We older guys will step up too. This is our club and our group, and we've lived for it for decades.

One killer idea they had was using a torch with a number on it, where the number actually matched someone's full name

For sure, but there are two big things you need to nail: first, you have to pitch it to the right people face-to-face—actually show up at their door—and second, you’ve got to put yourself on the line to actually get the job done or handle a chunk of it. If you don't do that, honestly, you're mostly just wasting your breath.

Jesse Campbell said:Look, I am not the ultimate decision-maker in this group. My input is simply a forum post from an older member who has observed things from the sidelines. That doesn't mean I'm out of the loop or disconnected from what is actually happening. You correctly pointed out that my opinion remains unchanged regardless of what someone else writes. It is clear you are a sharp individual.

In any case, I believe the more pressing issue right now isn't whether leadership is supposedly ignoring certain people; it is the fact that far too few people are actually contributing to the workload. Before anyone starts complaining about being heard, they should first ask themselves how they can step up and help.

Let’s look at the indoor soccer project, which has been unanimously hailed as perhaps one of the greatest initiatives in the history of BBB. Do you honestly think all of this just happens by magic? People are working themselves to the bone to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Right now, we are the most watched club in the city, yet we have zero employees. GNK Dinamo has 220, New York Cosmos has 45, and Cleveland Montانية has zero.

That is why the first thing you all need to do is ask how I can personally help make this operation even better and lighten the load for those who are currently breaking their backs to keep us afloat. Do you follow me?

I hear you... But you also have to understand that many of the younger members are intimidated by the way some of the older crowd carries themselves (it gets pretty intense, sometimes involving verbal lashings or even physical confrontations if someone speaks up at the wrong moment—especially when voicing an opinion that isn't popular). But hey, who am I to speak for them? No one stood up for me back when I was sixteen, seventeen, or eighteen... Everything else you said stands, and I accept it as it is. I have stayed as active as possible, though coincidentally, I’ve been living in a different city for the last eleven months, so I haven't been in the thick of it. Regardless, I am going to try to push myself toward a more active role once I am back...

Peace and quiet, everyone; nobody is to blame here, everything is fine, no harm done 👏
So, Mickey? 🙂

This is how things actually work in a civilized country. If our clubs operated with this kind of integrity, they wouldn't even be struggling to stay relevant in the top flight. And I’m not even talking about players getting fleeced—I mean the board members themselves. Total corruption from the top down.

Why are you getting worked up, Sean? I only brought it up because that whole Mickey Mouse situation stuck in my head.

You talking about the Chicago Bulls back in '01, or something else entirely?
