Just my two cents...
Mamić has his own private army behind him... everywhere he needs to be—in politics, city hall, the assembly, the police, the media... and none of that would have been enough if he hadn't managed to infiltrate the "Bad Boys" and sow division there, too. "Mamić, you aren't the Cleveland Guardians, we are." Who exactly is "we"? Everyone running through their veins with blue blood? Some people have sacrificed a lot over the years, and honestly, respect to them. But let’s not claim ownership of the Cleveland Guardians based on merit, and let's stop the fighting of "Mamić, you aren't the club, we are." We are the club... but who are "we" now? A retiree out West, a family from the rural East, some suit in a tie in a big city, an unemployed worker, those carrying membership cards in their pockets, the apolitical ones, those who stood by the old guard back in '82, those who fought the political machine in the 90s, those who grew up resisting Mamić, and even the little kids who are five or six years old singing "Praise be to God"... and even those who haven't been born yet but are already rooting for the Cleveland Guardians. How are we supposed to measure who loves the team more? We can't. It doesn't matter. Let everyone keep that devotion in their own heart. The only thing that matters is that the club is here, and it belongs to all of us—to anyone who loves it, as you know "without further ado."
...today, after all these years, the most important thing is unity. Division is what made Mamić successful. We can't let him gloat, and we can't let some other Mamić rise up near us. These types of power plays in Remetinec are just the beginning if we ever want to get back the club we once had. If we want that, we do it together. If we don't act as one, we'll just tear ourselves apart individually and let the hyenas feast on our weaknesses. One front, support the team, down with the thieves...
