Cast your dream actors for these roles!

So, which actors would you love to see cast in specific roles that just haven't happened yet?

Maybe it’s a remake of a classic, or a character from a novel or a video game that you think only one specific person could pull off. Or maybe you want to swap someone out of a movie that's already out there.

And obviously, what's the reasoning behind your picks?

I honestly think Liam Neeson would’ve been a much better fit for Jack Reacher than Tom Cruise.
Maybe Arnold Schwarzenegger should’ve played Ivan Drago instead of Dolph Lundgren.
I guess Hugh Laurie would’ve worked better in Thank You for Smoking than Eckhart.
Or maybe just any actor bigger and more imposing than Tom Hardy for the latest Batman.

Just some random thoughts.

Gary Oldman instead of Guy Pearce in Memento—he just needed to mess up his hair and level up
but that’s why Pantoliano is absolutely essential in that flick

Val Kilmer over Slater in True Romance—even if he’s mostly just playing the narrator/Elvis role there. Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of Slater anyway

Michael Madsen instead of Charlie Sheen in Platoon. The badass chemistry between him and Charlie Sheen would’ve been next level

Charlie Sheen instead of Tom Cruise in The Color of Money—the guy just needed four months spent practicing pool

Christopher Walken playing Tom Hagen🙏

Walken vs. Duvall... man, I gotta go with Walken. XD

This would also be the perfect thread for Rourke and all those legendary roles he passed up🤷—he probably would've absolutely crushed most of them since he was at his peak back then.

If Paul Newman and a Steve McQueen film had been cast in In Cold Blood, 🙏 the movie would have been legendary just as it is—I can't even begin to imagine how much of a powerhouse it would have been with those two on screen. 🙏

I feel like some of the magic would just vanish. I mean, once you've seen it a few times... though honestly, if they had gone that route, it probably would’ve been better.
In Peckinpah's movies, it would've been pure SIN—kind of like an Oates or Borgnine flick, or something with Dustin Hoffman or Kristofferson. And especially with Susan George and Isela Vega: SLINE:

Maybe so, but it would be interesting—really, truly interesting, I have no doubt about that.
The way I see it, Hoffman was born to play David Sumner; honestly, it’s probably the most perfect casting choice in cinema history.

Imagine a screen adaptation of Hamlet starring Ryan Gosling. If Refn were at the helm, an autistic Hamlet featuring minimal dialogue and even fewer monologues could actually turn out to be quite fascinating.

Since they went with the brunette look in Dark Knight and didn't use Katie Holmes, instead of that pinkish Maggie type, they really could have gone with:

Or even Charlize Theron if we're talking an actual A-list vibe

For Catwoman, you need someone sexually magnetic. Honestly, anyone except the one from The Devil Wears Prada

And then you’ve got Little Crow, who would totally be played by Michael Wincott



And obviously, the whole vibe of the project would be super minimalist ☕

Sure, the market is already pretty oversaturated, but a fresh, subversive interpretation might fail miserably at the box office while simultaneously being hailed as a masterpiece within those quasi-elitist art house circles. And isn't that really the only thing that matters? 🙂

I actually really liked his performance there; he’s got a great voice and decent diction, too.
