By what metric, I wonder, would you claim to be a greater enthusiast than I am? And furthermore, what exactly grants you the authority to adopt such an incredibly condescending tone toward me?

Which drivers did Fernando Alonso actually overtake before the SC? None. All anyone really saw was him falling behind Nico Rosberg, which led his fans to start praying for a crash or an SC just to bunch up the field. Through all that chaos, Ferrari managed to secure P2 for Fernando Alonso.

The fact that he spent ten laps trailing Sergio di Risio pretty much tells you how masterfully he drove today.

It’s the same for everyone else. Hardly anyone made a move on anyone today.

And that silly comment about not watching enough F1? That one's on you.

Who's ignoring him? 🤣

Mostly those mindless Ferrari fans who let the team mess with their heads. While he's stuck there, they aren't going to see a world championship.

They'll only start paying attention once he actually lands at Ferrari. 🤣

Jason Campbell70 said:Anyway, since you brought up the two greatest of all time...
Those two "GOATs" are probably just the two biggest pieces of trash to ever drive in Formula 1.
They’d ram their opponents just to secure a title, and both ended up disqualified because they cheated their way through for their teams.
Both showed an unprecedented level of dishonesty and arrogance.
And yet... people consider them the greatest ever. Simply because of what they did on the track.

Sebastian Vettel, on the other hand, as I mentioned... wins everything fairly and cleanly. He doesn't crash into anyone; he dominates and breaks records.
And what happens? The crowd ignores him or mocks him. Because of his performance on the track, if you ask me.

Exactly. If anyone was dirty on the track, it was those two, and frankly, they didn't give a damn—nor did the people who hated them.

Nowadays, everyone ignores him while they cheer for whoever is standing next to him on the podium. Most people would be asking themselves what the hell is wrong with them in his position. But he seems fine with it. In fact, that’s exactly why they ignore him: he lacks character.

graniteharbor502 said:So, what exactly makes you a bigger fan than me? And where on earth do you get the right to talk down to me like that?

It’s because I actually respect those raw racing values—the kind that Sebastian Vettel just doesn't seem to possess. Now, don't get me wrong—I’m not exactly a huge fan of Michael Schumacher either, and Fernando Alonso isn't really my cup of tea, but I respect them as true drivers. They have this incredible ability to squeeze every ounce of potential out of a car, even when it's impossible, and Vettel just isn't built that way—nor will he ever be. When the car is junk, his performance drops too, which tells you everything you need to know. He’s a perfectly solid, capable driver who can land a podium without making a single mistake, sure—but he lacks that spark of pure passion. Everyone else seems to see that too; you can see it in how the rest of the world treats him when things go south.

When I think back to Schumacher versus Mika Hakkinen and that legendary, wild overtake at Spa-Francorchamps, or even Kimi back in the Suzuki 2005 days... those were moments you just don't forget. Vettel just doesn't have that magic, and all those wins won't change that fact.

jadeseal7 said:Are you seriously trying to compare Ayrton Senna to Sebastian Vettel? 🤣🤣 I've got nothing left to say to you.

Honestly, why even bother arguing with people who claim otherwise? It’s a waste of breath. Sebastian Vettel is easily the worst world champion in F1 history. A total fraud, plain and simple. That's just a fact.
Comparing him to Ayrton Senna or anyone else like that is just straight-up delusional.

The mindless Ferrari fans, mostly, because they're basically brainwashed. As long as he's over there, a world championship isn't happening.

He won't see one until he lands at Ferrari. 🤣

Imagine thinking people are being stupid just because they're backing a driver they don't even like 🙏 🙏

I'm not exactly a fan of Michael Schumacher or Fernando Alonso either, but I respect them as true drivers because they can squeeze blood from a stone. Vettel isn't built that way, and he never will be. If the car is junk, he's junk—that’s how you tell. He’s a decent enough driver to grab a podium without making mistakes, but he lacks passion, and everyone else has noticed that too, judging by how much people love to hate on him globally.

Do you actually know a driver who wins championships without a competitive car? Where’s Lewis Hamilton now? Or where was he when he had a top-tier ride? Look at Michael Schumacher. Look at Fernando Alonso, or even your guy Kimi. Honestly, those arguments feel a bit playground-level to me. 🙄

Seriously, what are you guys tripping on? Who's "hating" on Vettel? The whole crowd? Are you living in some alternate reality? 🙄 We all know exactly who's giving him grief and why. Don't try to sell me your delusions as truth.

Oh, sure, they've spread all across the globe...
Those wicked, wicked Ferrari fans who are currently bothering a four-time world champion.
How do they even dare? 😢

🙏 🙏

They’re being idiots because they're just as biased and brainwashed as people living in North Korea.

Why don't they like him? Simple. He's spent the last four years snatching titles right out from under their favorite driver's nose.

Good grief, I shouldn't have to explain that to anyone.🙄

placidridge2 said:Do you happen to have the name of any driver who actually clinches titles when they aren't in a dominant car? I mean, where is Hamilton these days? And where was he back when he actually had a top-tier machine? Where was Michael Schumacher? Or Alonso—and even your guy Kimi? Honestly, I think your arguments are a bit... let's call them "kindergarten level." 🙄

Look, Hamilton has a few wins, but the Mercedes-Benz isn't anything special anymore. Kimi managed a podium from 13th today, and as for Alonso—I truly believe he only grabbed that win because he was in that disastrous Renault 2008. And Vettel? His one real claim to fame was that fluke win in the Tony Ross car, but even then, he had a V10 engine under the hood—everyone else was running V8s. Vettel is mostly going to be remembered as a statistical anomaly, and frankly, it’s a shame to watch him rack up titles with a manufactured team when he lacks that genuine, raw driving factor.

He's going to be struggling for a long time, and honestly, I'm kind of enjoying it... nobody likes him and maybe only 5% of people give a damn. Those wins of his aren't worth much to anyone.

Of course it bothers me, since your contribution to this thread is pure trolling. And I’m no bot—the mods can verify that. You're the one trolling here. ☕

Yeah, sure, they've popped up all over the globe...
Just those bitter Ferrari fans who can't handle someone being better than their precious Fernando Alonso.
The audacity, right? 😢

🤣 Well, Ferrari fans are everywhere.

If this race were held in the States, you'd hear the same nonsense from idiots who just can't stomach anyone outperforming their hero, Fernando Alonso. 🙄

jadeseal7 said:It comes down to the fact that I hold a certain reverence for true racing values, qualities which Vettel simply lacks. It isn't that I am particularly fond of Michael Schumacher or even Fernando Alonso, but I respect them as genuine drivers because they possess that rare ability to extract the impossible from their machinery; Vettel doesn't have that spark, nor will he ever, and you can see it clearly when his car isn't performing. He is a perfectly capable driver who can guide a car to a podium without making a single error, yet he lacks any shred of raw passion, a reality that everyone else seems to recognize given how much people tend to dismiss him globally.

When I find myself reminiscing about Michael Schumacher and Mika Häkkinen and that legendary, wild overtake at Spa-Francorchamps, or perhaps Kimi in the Suzuki 2005... those were moments etched in history. Vettel just doesn't possess that essence, and all his victories are ultimately hollow.

Vettel actually possesses quite a lot, it is just that you seem unwilling to acknowledge it. His primary issue is that he is so overwhelmingly dominant, which clearly grates on many people, but does that not simply serve as proof of how exceptional a driver he truly is? I often get the impression that he is essentially playing a game with a grid populated by titans like Kimi, Lewis Hamilton, and Fernando Alonso, which is quite an achievement in its own right. And if we are discussing Ayrton Senna, one must remember that the man secured all three of his championships with a single team—which, I should mention, was quite a dominant force as well.

and frankly, trying to compare him to Ayrton Senna or anyone else of that caliber is just plain absurd.

Well, if that is your personal take, then I suppose it holds no weight here. After all, one could claim that any champion is a fraud if they choose to look at it through that particular lens, couldn't they?

jadeseal7 said:Lewis Hamilton has picked up a few wins, but let's be honest—the Mercedes-Benz isn't exactly anything to write home about.

Lewis only grabbed those wins when the Mercedes-Benz was actually competitive. Just look at the lap times from those two or three races. Don't try to pull one over on me, okay?

Mercedes is struggling at the back right now, so we'll just have to see where Lewis Hamilton actually lands.

Kimi's starting 13th on the grid today.

🤷 We all agreed that Kimi’s Lotus looks like a completely different beast compared to how they used to run. But let's be real—whenever the car struggles on a specific track, Kimi isn't exactly making magic happen either. So, don't try to sell me that nonsense.

I honestly think Fernando Alonso managed a disastrous victory driving that Renault 2008.

A disastrous victory? 🙄

Sebastian Vettel? His only real win was that fluke with Toro Rosso, and honestly, he had a V10 engine back then. The rest were all V8s. He’ll just be remembered as a collection of stats. It’s actually pretty sad watching him rack up titles with an engineered powerhouse instead of having that true driver's edge.

I’d probably be sitting there wondering what we’re actually worth if we get beaten every single time by someone who isn't even a driver. It says more about them than it does about him. 🤣

He’ll be stuck in that spot for a long time, and honestly, I’m fine with that. Nobody actually likes him; maybe five percent of people even care. Those wins he gets? They aren't worth much to anyone.

🙄 If you say so.

His real "issue" is that he’s so incredibly dominant that it gets under people's skin, but honestly, that just proves how elite a driver he really is. I get the feeling he’s essentially playing with the rest of the grid, even when he's up against titans like Kimi, Hamilton, and Alonso. That’s a massive achievement. And while we're talking about Ayrton Senna, remember that the man secured all three of his titles with a single team—which, let's be honest, was an absolute powerhouse at the time.

Think about Senna during qualifying in Monaco—he was two full seconds faster than a legend like Alain Prost, and they were in the exact same car... and well, Prost wasn't exactly Mark Webber.

It's Monaco all over again, just like 1984 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hUWuR2Dj78

You had Senna, driving a car that—if we're being honest—wouldn't even compare to a Marussia today, chasing down Prost for the win in the middle of a torrential downpour.

Then there's Ayrton Senna at Donnington in '93: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxVZIitU_18

He sliced through five drivers in a single lap during a rainstorm, and that McLaren was pretty mediocre that season.

Senna was a true DRIVER; Vettel is just a talented kid, and there is a world of difference between the two.
