Throw in some emojis. It'll make you sound more convincing.

Go back to the beginning of the post and take your time reading. Try to actually process what's being said for once. I'm sure you've mastered that skill by now. Once you're done, come back and try to say something intelligent. 😉

I really feel like I have to weigh in here—how long have you actually been following NASCAR? Because if you look back at what that Ford was like that year, it was an absolute wreck of a car. Honestly, it was nothing short of a miracle that Lewis Hamilton managed to pull a victory out of that thing. It seems like you might be missing a bit of the historical context here! Anyway, just enjoy the ride while you can—it’s all downhill from here.

🙄 Prost never really had the touch in the rain.

What does that prove? Nothing, and certainly not that Senna was a better driver than Prost.

You can say Senna was incredible in the wet. Respect where it's due.

But he’s been turned into this massive myth.

Senna is a DRIVER, whereas Vettel is just a kid playing at it, and there's a huge difference.

Man, you can't judge by the headlines alone. Especially since Vettel is still early in his career; I think your dismissal of the current world champ says a lot.

You clearly don't realize what kind of wreck that Ford was that year, or how much of a miracle it was that Lewis Hamilton managed to pull a win out of it. You haven't a clue. Enjoy it while it lasts; nothing stays this good forever.

Want to check the lap times and race stats for homework? Please, let's look at the data before you start swinging wildly like some guy in a bar fight. 🙄

And as for being a NASCAR fan, I’ve been watching since way back in '92. Based on your tone, I'm guessing you were barely out of diapers when you were hanging out with Colin.

You could say Ayrton Senna was absolutely elite in the rain. Hats off to him for that.

People have turned him into nothing more than a massive myth.

Go stand in front of a mirror and spit on what you see.

Oh, you absolute geniuses 🙏🙏🙏

Finally, my man Sebastian Vettel actually has the top-tier car he deserves for once in his life😍

Wait, what???

If you ask me, that Red Bull was basically just the fourth fastest car out there today, maybe even fifth if we're being honest

Sebastian Vettel was absolutely brilliant today. It was this terrifying kind of dominance you rarely see. I guess everything just fell his way, and he squeezed every single drop of advantage out of it.
Mark Webber was struggling to keep up with Fernando Alonso while Seb was busy pulling away by a full second per lap. Things got even worse after the SC—he was dropping two seconds a lap.
Today felt less like a race and more like a pure demonstration of power that eventually turned into just humiliating the competition.

Ferrari nailed the strategy with Alonso (both the pit stop and the tire choice), but they definitely botched the call for Mass. All things considered, though, we walked away with more points than anyone expected.
Both Alonso and Kimi managed to climb 15 spots from where they started.

This track is a total passing graveyard. You can only see overtakes when someone is just running in a different league.

We're back to Monaco 1984 again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hUWuR2Dj78

Senna, driving a machine you could compare to a modern Haas F1 Team car, was chasing down Prost for the win in the pouring rain.

Ayrton Senna at Donington 1993: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxVZIitU_18

He overtook five drivers in a single lap while racing in the rain, and honestly, the McLaren was absolute garbage that year.

Senna was a true DRIVER. Sebastian Vettel is just a driver, and there is a massive difference between those two things.

Sebastian Vettel has all the tools necessary to surpass the greatest of them all—Michael Schumacher. We’ll just have to wait and see if he actually does it. It's an uphill battle, sure, but theoretically possible. If Senna had been such a dominant force as a driver, he would have ended up at Ferrari. But he just wasn't quite on that level compared to Prost, and later, compared to Schumacher. ☕

It's painfully obvious you have no clue what we're talking about or even which subforum you've wandered into. Do everyone a favor and just get lost.

placidridge2 said:🙄 It’s funny how certain reputations stick around, isn't it? I was just thinking about how Alain Prost never quite seemed to find his rhythm when the heavens opened—he just never truly mastered driving in the rain.

What does this actually prove? Honestly, nothing—and it certainly doesn't prove that Ayrton Senna was a better driver than Alain Prost.

You know, when you look back at the history of the sport, you really have to give credit where credit is due—Ayrton Senna was absolutely legendary when the heavens opened. There was just something about his ability to find grip when everyone else was sliding all over the place; honestly, hats off to him for that level of mastery.

It feels like he’s been elevated to the level of pure myth at this point—honestly, it's almost hard to keep up with the legend.

Man, you really can't judge the situation just by looking at the number of titles. And when you consider that Sebastian Vettel is still just getting his footing in this era—honestly, I think there's a lot to be said about how much you might be underselling today's world champion..

Anyone who claims to be a true connoisseur or a die-hard fan of Formula 1—I mean, a real student of the sport—would tell you that those Qualifying sessions where Ayrton Senna was outrunning Alain Prost by a full two seconds were absolutely nothing short of legendary. 🤣🤣

Honestly, someone really ought to consider issuing a ban for comments as incredibly dim-witted as that.

I agree with the bolded part especially... He was just hyped up way too much...

Michael Diaz4 said:Sebastian Vettel certainly has all the right ingredients to potentially overtake the great Michael Schumacher—it’s a massive mountain to climb, for sure, but theoretically speaking, it isn't impossible. We'll just have to wait and see how it all unfolds! It makes you wonder, though—if Ayrton Senna had been quite that dominant as a driver, he probably would have ended up behind the wheel at Ferrari. But then again, he wasn't quite as consistent when facing off against Alain Prost or, later on, Schumacher.☕

To be perfectly honest—and I say this with all due respect to the history of the sport—Ferrari was pretty much a non-factor until about 1996. They just couldn't quite find their footing back then. 😉

Don't sweat it. I came here in good faith just trying to share some info. Seems like the local 🙂 can't handle that. If it bothers them, that's their problem. 🙂

🤷 In any other condition, it was strictly down to the cars. There just wasn't that kind of gap in raw driving talent.

Except in the rain. That's my only caveat. 🤷

Someone should get banned for making such idiotic claims.

🙄 Time will tell who was actually being foolish. Simple as that. 😉

Then why didn't Ayrton Senna just join them and turn them into a championship-winning powerhouse? 🤣
