They’re bringing an even bigger, more immersive production as part of their "PULSE 2013" world tour. Mark your calendars for Friday, November 29, at Madison Square Garden.
To honor the legendary music created by David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Rick Wright, Nick Mason, and Syd Barrett, Brit Floyd performs the Pink Floyd catalog "note for note." The visual spectacle—featuring enhanced lighting and animations—is designed to be identical to the visuals from Pink Floyd's final tour back in 1994.
Since Pink Floyd isn't touring anymore, this is our best shot at seeing a perfect recreation of their magic. Brit Floyd has obsessed over every single sonic detail; people who have seen the real Pink Floyd live have actually confirmed that the atmosphere is spot on.
Brit Floyd was formed in New York City back in 2010 by Coca-Cola enthusiast and Live Nation executive Damian Darlington, who also serves as the band's guitarist and musical director. He actually had the honor of playing for David Gilmour during his 50th birthday celebration in New York City in 1996. Critics have hailed Brit Floyd as the most authentic and premier Pink Floyd tribute act in the world.
The PULSE 2013 tour is visually modeled after the 1994 Division Bell tour, which was often referred to as "Pulse" due to the associated album and film. During the two-plus hour set, Brit Floyd performs most of the hits from across the Pink Floyd eras. This time, they are putting a special spotlight on The Dark Side of the Moon to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Naturally, the set will also feature heavy hitters from Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Division Bell, and, of course, the iconic The Wall.
Brit Floyd has wowed crowds everywhere, including at Radio City Music Hall. Their setlists aren't just a collection of "greatest hits"—they curate a "best of" selection specifically for die-hard fans, meaning the songs change from night to night. Expect classics like Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, Another Brick in the Wall, Money, Time, Comfortably Numb, Learning to Fly, High Hopes, Echoes, One of These Days... plus Have a Cigar, Vera, Fletcher Memorial Home, Is There Anybody Out There?, and Pigs.
The show kicks off at 8:00 PM on Friday, November 29, at Madison Square Garden. Floor tickets are priced at $40 if purchased by October 16, $53 then increase on October 17, $63 and will be available at the door. Reserved seating is $50 until October 16, $63 moves to a higher tier starting October 17, $73 and remains available at the entrance.
