Has anyone here had any experience using a metal detector? I was wondering if anyone knows roughly how deep (into the ground) they can actually pick up metal... thanks!

You get what you pay for—that’s the golden rule with this stuff. If you want deep detection, you have to open your wallet. You can find units listed online ranging from $1,000 up to $5000 if you're looking at the high end. And honestly? You can find pretty much everything on YouTube if you know where to look. Just search for the Garrett Ace 250; it's a perfectly decent piece of kit for getting started.

I’m currently diving into this hobby myself—specifically digging for artifacts from WW2—so I wanted to see if anyone here has actual experience with the Garrett Aca 250. Could you share some insights on it? I’m finding conflicting opinions all over the internet and need some clarity. Thanks. 😉
