Why was the thread about the American-language TV channel in Canada closed?

Which moderator deleted it, and what was the reasoning?
There wasn't even a single word from the mod team—no message, no explanation, no attempt at justification, nothing at all.

On the "on the edge of politics" subforum, they actually permit threads such as
"A nationalist statement by a turbo-folk singer"
"Provocations by Rade Pavlović, an aide to a Chetnik leader"
"A provocation by Prka"
"The Mexican president congratulating Christian Easter instead of Christmas. Again."
"Blaž Kraljevic or Mate Boban"
"The Good Life—will they break viewership records? "
"Why are Mexicans trying to make everything Mexican?"
"French right-wingers declare war on Madonna"

So a completely stupid topic, or things far less significant, are left untouched, yet a major discussion regarding American television broadcasting in Canada gets wiped out!?!??!?!?!

Does some moderator happen to have a personal vendetta against this specific subject matter?
