You’ll need to copy those numbers in column B and then Paste them back into column B, but make sure you paste them as values, not as an RND formula. If you don't, we're all going to end up with different results.
Advanced filter doesn't seem to fit what you're trying to do? You can actually pull data using multiple AND and OR criteria with it. It might be worth spending a few minutes playing around with it to see how it works...
Also, besides the Advanced filter in LibreOffice Calc, there's also the Standard filter. It’s pretty straightforward—you just select the column with your data, pick something like smallest 28, and the program will spit out a table showing the 28 lowest values from column B.

Just like I thought. Don't have the time to do your "homework" for you right now. Check out these links, follow the steps, and then upload the file back for download so we can see what you actually did.
The first example uses text while the second one deals with numbers. Just a heads-up: in Excel, certain formulas only play nice with numbers, not text—or vice versa—depending on what you're trying to pull off. Like the other guy said, what’s the point of these random numbers? What are you even trying to achieve?
I don't get the end goal here, but you haven't framed the task right, nor are you heading in the right direction. If this is about Powerball statistics, check out this tutorial; there's a downloadable file in there with an example of repeating numbers. If not, try this:
First, test this out using an example where you have numbers in column A from A2:A40.
1. Copy the Unique (or extract unique values) numbers from column A over to, say, column D.
2. In column E, use the COUNTIF function to count how many times each value from column D shows up in column A.
3. Record your macro so that it copies columns D and E and performs a Paste special => Value => into columns H and I. Then, select columns H and I and perform a Custom sort by column I, set to Ascending or 'Small to Large'. For the macro, you can create a button and link it to the macro—just make sure to expand the range to match however many rows are in your base table.
You can wrap all of this into a single macro recording.

Thanks so much for the help! I ended up reverting to my original Excel file and managed to sort everything out using just basic sorting and filters,
LibreOffice Calc is decent, but I’m still not quite used to it yet. In my opinion, it feels a bit cluttered and unintuitive, especially if you aren't an expert user...

Not sure how you were tackling this, but here’s a quick tutorial on how to actually fix it.

Is it actually possible to use a button to wipe out a Module or even multiple Modules directly from an Excel sheet within the Visual Basic Editor inside the same file? If there's a way to pull this off... does anyone have a lead on where I might find code for a button like that? Or maybe someone here already knows how?

Google, sure... I found the exact same—or something very close—code online... no pop-ups involved... but I can't figure out why I'm getting an error?
Run-time ERROR 1004 Method
"VBE" of object "_Application" failed

Look, you gotta actually read the tutorial and know a bit of English. If you don't, just use Google Translate.
Code:
You will have to go to Tools>Macro>Security - Trusted Publishers and check Trust access to Visual Basic Editor before running the code
Check out this video How to record a VBA macro in Excel—hit the 0:36 mark to see the blue "Developer Macro Settings" section and the "Trust access to the VBA project object model" option right under it. Toggle that on. Or just look at this screenshot from the tutorial How to enable macros in Excel and pay attention to the checkbox marked with red text saying "this is risky to enable." To get that specific VBA macro working, you need to check that box.

How can I go about having my automatically fill a specific section of a column with sequential numbers in my American version of Excel 2003?

Didn't say which version of Word you're using. If it's Word 2003, check this tutorial

If you're on a different version, just hit one of these links

I could use a little help here... I'm currently working on a PowerPoint presentation and I've embedded a video in AVI format, but I've hit a bit of a snag. When I click to play it during the slideshow, the audio kicks in just fine, but the video itself stays blank... no picture at all. If anyone happens to know what might be causing this glitch, I’d really appreciate the insight. Thanks.

Not much to go on here. Which version of PowerPoint are you using? What's the workflow? On my end, *.avi files play just fine in a slideshow. I'm running PowerPoint 2007 with all the regular updates installed.
Check out these instructions for PowerPoint 2003
- Inserting movies and animated GIF files into a presentation
Just read through the tutorial and follow the steps.
If you're rocking a base install of PowerPoint 2007 without any updates, try this:
1. Before you even insert the AVI file, just rename the extension from AVI to MPG or WMV.
2. Import the video into the slide and see if that fixes it.
3. If it’s still acting up, upload that AVI file along with one of your slides so we can try building a dummy presentation to test it out.
(Don't actually convert the AVI file—just rename the extension.)

Here are some instructions for PowerPoint 2003
- Inserting movies and animated GIF files into a presentation
Give the tutorial a read and follow the steps provided.
If you happen to be using a base installation of PowerPoint 2007 without any updates applied, you might want to try this...
1. Before you even attempt to insert the AVI file into the slide, try renaming the extension from AVI to either MPG or WMV.
2. Import the video into your presentation and see if that does the trick.
3. If it still acts up, maybe upload that specific AVI file along with one slide from your presentation so we can try building a simple test deck ourselves.
(And please, don't actually convert the AVI file; just rename the extension itself...)
PowerPoint 2007 isn't exactly getting frequent updates anymore, and I'm dealing with this on an old laptop... it runs into the exact same issue where the video image looks fine at first, but as soon as I hit play, the screen goes black and I'm left with nothing but audio. It works perfectly on my desktop, but I'd really like to get this laptop up to speed. When I tried renaming the extension to mpg or wmv like you suggested, clicking the video results in no sound at all—just a blank white screen.🤷

Hey everyone! I could use a little help here—I'm working in Excel 2007 with two data tables (they cover 5 years, with monthly values for each year) and I need to put them both on one chart. The vertical axis shows the values and the horizontal axis should show the months. The charts themselves look fine, but the horizontal axis isn't showing the full range of data along the axis—everything just gets bunched up on the left side. How do I fix this? I tried clicking Select Data > Horizontal Axis Labels and selecting the right cells, but nothing happened; I also messed around with Format Axis, but still no luck...

Is this more or less what you're looking for?

If this hits the mark, just set up your table exactly like the one I've attached. Once you've generated the chart, go ahead and type Year into cell A1.

years shouldn't be marked—it should probably look more like this http://www.datafilehost.com/d/8be2291f just with a standard horizontal axis

It’s not working :-( maybe there's an issue with the spreadsheet itself? I guess—should I be structuring my data differently?
