I’m struggling with extra weight, but the worst part is that it all seems to settle right in my stomach. Even when I lose weight, my chest, arms, and legs slim down first, which just looks really unbalanced.

I feel like I've tried everything, but the belly fat won't budge. Has anyone actually managed to get rid of abdominal fat? And I don't mean just a little bit of fluff or some loose skin after having a baby—I mean actual fat. How did you do it? What kind of exercise actually works? I've tried swimming, cycling, and walking, but nothing seems to make a difference...

I'm not a fan of crunches, and honestly, I can barely do them because my stomach gets in the way whenever I try to bend over.

Has anyone truly made progress on this? If so, how?
I guess I'm just looking for some hope that it's possible. 🙂

And what about diet? Should I go high protein? Or maybe keto? I also deal with bloating; it isn't just gas, but it still looks pretty bad.

692362035 This thread is just another drop in the bucket, a repeat of what’s already been said elsewhere. It isn't quite like we're staring down a seventh consecutive manifesto on weight loss, but still... 🙄

How to lose the belly fat—the main thread

Master Index—everything else you might need

The index covers just about everything, including a separate thread where people suggest different types of sports to try out. Honestly, just ignore all those nonsense UN supplements and similar gimmicks; they’re nothing more than overpriced snake oil. The real way to handle this is simply eating a bit of everything while keeping an eye on portion sizes and cutting down on calories—which basically means cutting out the sweets and the junk food entirely.
