redranger82 said:What would you say are the top 3 sportsbooks out there? Maybe Marathon or Bet365?

If you go with Marathonbet + Betcity + Bet365, you’re looking at the best payouts around. Honestly, that combo alone covers 99.99% of what any regular needs. The catch? They start limiting you eventually. It's the same story with those local trash sites like DraftKings or FanDuel—they see you winning and suddenly you can't place a decent bet anymore. That's why you end up sticking to the Asian books like Sbobet or 188bet...
Betfair is basically on the same level as our domestic bookies because the tax hikes they hit them with made their odds practically useless.
There are a few other decent options, but they all suffer from the same issues—either they limit your action or the payouts just aren't worth the hassle: Nordicbet, Ladbrokes, Sportingbet, or even those smaller US apps...

What kind of tax are we even talking about?

The commission is steep, I’ll admit. But given their unique setup—pitting bettors against one another rather than the house and letting you set your own odds—I’d still rank them in my top three. There are plenty of other platforms out there with lower fees, though I haven't bothered to look into how they actually perform...

Anyone got any solid leads on decent bonuses from those offshore sportsbooks lately?

Hey 🙂 can someone with a soul please walk me through how these online sportsbook bonuses actually work? Like, is there a ticking clock on when I have to clear them—I have no clue. Also, do these sites even accept MoneyGram? And does anyone know if they hit you with a fee when moving cash back to my account? Most importantly—what’s the cap on single bets? Could I realistically drop $10,000 or $20,000 on a single game and actually get approved? Only reply if you’re 100% sure. And fingers crossed there isn't some crazy tax situation like over in Germany where they take 30% once you pass $15,000 in winnings, haha...

It really depends on which sportsbook you're looking at; every single one has their own specific terms for bonuses. Just speaking off the cuff here, some might offer a 100% match on your deposit up to a $100 limit. They’ll usually require you to wager the combined deposit and bonus amount five times over, with a minimum odds requirement of 1.75, all within a two-month window. Betting on the major leagues shouldn't be an issue...
You'll need to check the fine print directly on the sportsbook's site to see exactly what they're offering and what the catch is.
There are no taxes or transaction fees involved, and moving money through Chase or Wells Fargo is generally free of charge.

Usually, they'll make you wager the deposit plus the bonus five times over at odds of at least 1.75 within a couple of months. As long as you aren't betting on obscure leagues, you should be fine.
You’ll have to check the specific site's fine print to see what they're actually offering.

After two years of betting with Bet365, I’ve been relatively satisfied with my experience until yesterday, when I ran into my first real issue. It involves live betting on handball... I placed a wager on under 30 total goals for the first half. By the 28th minute, the score was sitting at 12:11... then suddenly, everything stops, and the match disappears from the live betting menu. Two hours later, my bet is voided and the stake is refunded, even though the half actually ended 13:12.

Then today, a second incident occurred... I was betting on basketball, specifically over 36 points in the second quarter. It’s the exact same pattern as the handball situation... the score was 18:17 in the second quarter with 2:25 remaining on the clock... the game vanishes from the sportsbook. Naturally, the total easily cleared 36 points, yet once again, my bet was voided.

I can't help but suspect this is being done intentionally.

Send them an inquiry and demand a clear explanation. I can't speak to how they handle live betting, but with pre-match wagers, if there’s a margin error, they just void everything. For instance, if everyone jumps on a line at 25 and they accidentally list it at 30, they just claim a mistake and pull the plug...

Look, I’ve had my bets voided by the sportsbook several times during live action too, and honestly, the errors they make are ridiculous. That basketball situation mentioned above? That’s definitely a mistake on their end, unless the odds were sitting at a tiny 1.10 or 1.20. As for the handball bet, who knows—we don't have a clue what the exact situation was at the moment the wager went through.

It’s happening with live handball bets... Two hours later, my bet gets voided and the stake is returned, even though the half ended 13:12.
Then today, it happens again... basketball, over 36 points in the second quarter... same exact story as the handball one... score is 18:17 at the 2:25 mark... game disappears from the board... obviously, they cruised right past that 36-point mark, but once again, the bet is voided.
I'm starting to suspect this isn't exactly an accident.

Total garbage, just like every other bookie out there.
For me, it was twice where I placed a live bet at 1.83 odds, only to have them settle it at 1.07 because apparently there was some "technical error" during the placement. Both bets won, by the way.
Marathon used to hide my winning live tickets from me too. One minute nothing, the next, a ticket pops up settled at 1.0 odds.
Bet365 capped my account at $22, and the folks over in Germany basically told me not to bother showing my face there again...
Everything works fine as long as you're losing money. The second you actually win or try to collect, that's when the headaches start.

In my experience, they actually accepted my bets at 1.83 twice during live play, only to settle them at 1.07 later, claiming there was a "processing error" with the deposit. Of course, both tickets were already cleared.
I've also had Marathon hide my winning live slips from me. Then, out of nowhere, a ticket suddenly appears with the odds adjusted to 1.0.
BetMGM limited my stakes to $22, and after talking to the folks over at Germany, I told them I wouldn't be coming back...
Everything seems fine while you're losing money, but the second you win or try to cash out, the trouble starts.

I can personally vouch for a similar situation where Bet365 dropped my odds from 1.86 down to 1.06.
I honestly don't know what's going on lately, but I've started running into constant issues with them.
Does anyone know of a sportsbook with a live selection comparable to Bet365? My main priority is having plenty of live basketball coverage throughout the day.

Does any sportsbook have a live selection even remotely close to BetMGM? All I really care about is having plenty of live basketball action available throughout the day.

None of them. Just open a second account and go nuts!!

Donna Phillips75 said:Hey. 🙂 Can someone with actual expertise explain how these online sportsbook bonuses work? Specifically—is there a strict expiration date on when I have to meet the wagering requirements? Also, do these sites actually accept MoneyTalk? And what’s the deal with transfer fees when moving funds from the bookie to my MoneyBookers account? Most importantly: what is the maximum limit for a single bet? Could I realistically drop $10,000 or $20,000 on a single match and actually get it approved? I only want answers from people who are 100% certain. And please tell me there isn't some massive tax hit like they have over in Germany—where they take 30% or whatever once you clear $15,000 in winnings. Haha.

First off, you’ve got two different types. Betting site bonuses—always a bit of a gamble in themselves. You’ve got this deposit bonus—and then there’s what they call a "FREE BET."
So, here’s the deal: there’s a 100% deposit bonus capped at $100. Basically—you put $100 into your sportsbook account, and they toss in another $100. You'll need to check the site's fine print for the specific wagering requirements before you can actually withdraw anything. Honestly? There are much better books out there right now. Bet-at-home sportsbook. What kind of bonus is this?

This "Free Bet" bonus is actually worth looking at—much more interesting than the usual fluff. Here’s how it works: you open an account and, say, they offer a $25 Free Bet. You deposit $25, place your wager, and if that ticket hits, you keep the winnings. If it loses? The sportsbook just hands you your $25 back. It only applies to that first bet, though. Currently, that's the deal. DraftKings. They're offering a $15 bonus.
The commission isn't being charged.

I’m honestly at a loss as to where to even direct this question—so here goes nothing... does anyone actually know which specific cards bet365 will accept?

Can someone walk me through how to actually build a parlay on Bet365? I can't seem to figure it out—it keeps acting like I'm only allowed to place single bets... 🤷

Does anyone know of a sportsbook that offers a live betting selection similar to BetMGM? The main thing for me is having plenty of live basketball games available throughout the day.

If you ask me, you should really look into FanDuel or DraftKings.

You might run into some hurdles with account limits—maybe staying around the $20 to $40 range—but more importantly, though, the big issue is that (especially with DraftKings) they sometimes make mistakes and simply refuse to fix them!
