steelpilot29 said:Alright, now that I’m done playing the intellectual... here’s the actual reason I'm posting. ☕

Has anyone here actually used those "betting brokers"? I've had a few recommendations floating around, but I’m still feeling pretty skeptical—honestly, their business models don't quite click for me, especially when it comes to how sustainable they really are.

Here is a list of the big names.

What I’m mainly wondering—if anyone has the insight—is how they handle parlays? Or is this stuff strictly useful if you're playing high-stakes moneyline or spreads?

Feel free to shoot me a DM if you know the deal.

Look, you're still going to have to log into your own sportsbook accounts anyway. Their business model is basically the same as mine—just on a much smaller scale. For example, if someone signs up for Pinnacle through my link, I handle their deposits and withdrawals via something like PayPal without charging a fee. Why? Because I grab about 0.1% of all their deposits, regardless of whether they win or lose.

These firms essentially pool together the limits they have with (mostly) Asian sportsbooks, which allows you to get much higher betting limits—though the odds can fluctuate, sometimes better, sometimes worse. Since they take a tiny 0.1-0.2% cut of your deposit, it's worth it for them to be available by phone, even if you're calling them at 3:00 AM!

The bottom line is this: if you're hitting the limits on sites like Pinnacle for things like soccer, they are definitely worth it. But for other niche sports—say, handball—you aren't really getting any real benefit from them...

Hey there—quick question for the group—which US-based sportsbook would you say is actually the best bet for wagering on the NBA?

What specifically regarding the NBA are we talking about here? Are you looking at moneyline winners, over/unders on total points, or maybe player props?

I mean everything—it just needs to be a selection where you can actually combine different outcomes—because that’s what matters to me. It should work just like how you’d set up a parlay on DraftKings or something similar.

silenthawk242 said:I need all those features to be there—especially the ability to bundle bets together. That kind of flexibility is a dealbreaker for me. It’s like how you can mix and match everything on DraftKings or FanDuel.

Look, Pinnacle is basically a no-brainer—the odds are easily 10% better than what you'll find elsewhere! The only real downside is they don't offer player prop counts. Honestly, most major sportsbooks don't even have that level of detail like we see locally—even Bet365 doesn't offer that much depth, and you can't even parlay them with totals or moneylines; you're pretty much stuck with singles.

mellowdrifter14 said:Pinnacle—honestly, there isn't much to debate here; their lines are easily 10% better. The only catch is they don't offer player prop points totals. None of those big international books really match what we have back home—I mean, even DraftKings only has about 20% of the player variety we see locally, and you can't even parlay those totals with over/unders or moneylines; it’s strictly singles.

So, looking at these overseas sites, none of them let you stack player props with other bets like we do here. Does anyone actually know how Pinnacle handles payouts? Like, if I hit a big one, how long does it take for the cash to actually hit my bank account?

Unfortunately, it's just not an option there. That first payout takes a bit because they have to verify your ID and everything—once that's out of the way, you're usually looking at about 15 to 30 minutes. They give you one free withdrawal per calendar month, but after that, they hit you with a $15 fee for every single one. You really have to plan ahead with that. As for the NBA lines, they stay pretty tight between 1.95 and 1.95, and you can't leave bets unsettled...

silenthawk242 said:So, looks like none of these offshore sites are actually worth anything. Can you combine player basket counts with other props like we do here? Also, what's the deal with Pinnacle regarding payouts? How long does it actually take for them to hit your bank account?

Duh. Obviously.
I knew at least five or six of them.
Can only think of four right now.
And those are:

http://www.marathonbet.com

The selection here is way more detailed than what you'd find at any local US sportsbook.
You can mix players with players, or just pair up players with specific games. Simple as that.
The only thing you can't do is parlay players from the same game.
Look, if there are three different games going on, you can just toss three players into one parlay—one from each game. Simple as that.

http://www.paddypower.com/

You can also stack them. Mix and match multiple players from the same game if you want.

Check out Betsson. Worth a look if you're looking for action.

You can run combos here too. It’s basically just like Marathonbet, except you're limited to one player per game. Obviously, you can still mix and match them with players from other matchups.

Check out Tipico.

You can just grab one player from a single game and pair them up with any other players from all the different matchups.

😉

That’s true. But honestly—with the way I play—you wouldn't even make it a full month before they hit you with limits on any of those sites 😢

Whatever..

But out of those four, Paddy is definitely the best for limits.
Though even that's debatable..

I could recall at least five or six back in the day...
But right now, I can only think of four.
Specifically:

http://www.marathonbet.com

The player options are actually more detailed than what you find at our local US sportsbooks.
You can combine players with other players—or players with specific matches.
The only restriction is that you cannot combine different player props from within the exact same game.
Meaning, if there are three separate games happening, you can parlay three different players together—one from each match...

but you can't pair a player's point total with anything else in that same matchup. For instance, in tonight's Minnesota vs. NY Knicks game, you can't bet on a Minnesota win and also have Carmelo go under his points total at the same time—if I recall correctly, that's what coolwater was asking about...

Are you kidding me???
I mean, despite all the absolute bullshit we deal with from our domestic sportsbooks (before this new legislation kicks in, which, fingers crossed, happens ASAP), if I try to play smaller stakes, my offshore books won't even pay out properly. Every other withdrawal gets hit with a $15 fee? No thanks. Absolutely not.
I'm starting to think that betting without having a massive $10k bankroll just isn't worth the headache anymore.

Out of those four, Paddy is probably your best bet if you actually want decent limits.
Though "decent" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there..

Can someone walk me through how this works?
I keep getting capped out at Marathon, Betcity, and even occasionally on bet365.
I mostly play basketball—over/unders, player props, stuff like that—but I can't find those markets at the places that don't limit you, like Pinnacle or Sbobet.
How's the limit situation over at William Hill?

Based on the questions you're asking, it's pretty obvious you're young and haven't been around the block yet. 🙂
Offshore books are basically your only real move. With smaller bets—say under $50—I actually got limited by both Marathon and Betcity after about two years of playing.
Sites like Marathonbet, Betcity, Bet365, Sportinget, Sbobet, and Unibet don't mess with your withdrawals like that.
Pinnacle and Expekt give you one free withdrawal a month, then they start charging you for the rest. I mean, do you seriously need to cash out every single day for that to even matter? Just wait until you've piled up a few hundred bucks, pull it all out at once, and call it a day...

It’s making me think more and more that betting without a solid $10k bankroll just isn't worth the hassle.

Look, whenever you withdraw funds to something like Skrill, that service takes a 3% cut from the sportsbook—it's just how it works. Of course, the books don't want you withdrawing daily; they don't have physical cash windows at a local corner shop like some big US chains where transactions cost them nothing. Personally, I don't see it as a huge issue because I can just plan ahead. Withdrawing every single day is only necessary if you're living paycheck to paycheck—but if that's the case, you're gambling with money you shouldn't be touching in the first place!

I know it might sound a bit blunt, but everyone I know who made the jump to online betting doesn't mind waiting until once a month to pull their funds out...

How's the limit situation over at William Hill?

Look, Paddy is basically your second strongest option in the USA; your top choice would be Willhill. Both are fantastic when it comes to variety, and honestly, if you're keeping your bets under $50, I think you can go quite a while without hitting any limits! Just a word of advice—don't get too greedy if they make a mistake. If you capitalize on an error like that, they’ll shut you down 100% immediately. As for me, they actually closed my account at Paddy just last month—they hadn't updated their odds after some boba training sessions in Sochi, so I managed to make a killing. 😁

Wait, isn't Bet365 actually the top one?
If we're talking about user interface and having the best selection for what I usually play, Betcity is my go-to, followed by Marathon. You won't find a league out there that isn't covered by those two. If you combine them with Bet365, you basically have 99% of everything an average player would ever need.
The whole issue with getting limited, though... that's a completely different headache altogether.

Personally, when looking at the interface and the depth of the markets (at least for what I usually bet on), I’d say Betcity is great, followed closely by Marathon. You can find pretty much any league imaginable through those two. If you combine them with Bet365, you've basically got 99% of what most players would ever need.
That said, dealing with account limitations is an entirely different headache altogether...

I was actually thinking about the big retail sportsbooks with physical locations—so yeah, you're spot on there.

Bet365 controls about 20% of the USA market, while William Hill and Paddy each hold around 15%! Sure, Betcity and Marathon have fantastic variety, but once you hit a wall where they shut down 7 or 8 of your accounts in just a few months, you eventually just call it quits. 😢

Yeah, unfortunately.

Not sure how much you're betting, but from what I've seen and read on other forums, they're actually better than bet365 when it comes to limits.

Obviously, it's all relative. 99.9% of books will limit you once you start winning big.
But you can usually fly under the radar for up to a year if you keep your stakes reasonable...

The best part is being able to parlay an NBA game with every single player prop on the board. ☕

p.s.

Regarding bet365 payouts—it takes me about 3 days to see the cash hit my debit card.
There's no cap on how many times you can withdraw. (Had about 3 withdrawals last month).
As for the live markets, they're unbeatable. They have everything from random Kyrgyz and Nepalese leagues in their live offerings. Marathonbet has decent depth too, but they just don't have the same massive selection...
