It’s taking an eternity for Reddit to load. Any ideas on how to speed things up? Thanks.

That’s a bit too vague—you’re going to get whatever kind of answer you put out there. Can you give me a little more context? Is this slow loading happening just here on Reddit, or is it happening across other sites too? Also, have you tried running an antivirus scan or maybe clearing out some junk with CCleaner? It might help.

Just install an adblocker, honestly.

After all that, don't bother wasting your time on Reddit. Just find a site with a better server... 😛

I appreciate you trying to help me out. I went ahead and cleaned everything up, but the performance is still abysmal. Most other sites load just fine, but this one? It’s a nightmare. Sometimes I’m sitting there staring at a blank screen for ten minutes or even longer before anything actually happens.

Like I said, that's just how Reddit is. If the loading speeds are killing you, just stay off the site... it’s always been this glitchy.

Just try a different browser.

Honestly, the specific windows build doesn't really matter—there isn't much difference between an "official" install and a pirated one once it's running. At the end of the day, all that actually matters is whether you have a valid product key.😁

They definitely matter. Back when I was running XP, YouTube would barely load, but the second I upgraded to 7, everything opened instantly. Now that I'm on a clean install of 10, I don't run into any issues at all.

That really doesn't have anything to do with it. Honestly, the reason things felt faster is because you wiped your hard drive and did a clean install of fresh windows—that's the real game changer. Your old XP setup probably had viruses or some random junk software clogging up the works, which slowed down your whole system... so naturally, YouTube felt sluggish too.

Exactly. It’s irrelevant. Windows 7 handles RAM much more efficiently than XP does, so that’s a factor. But whether the software is legitimate or pirated doesn't change the performance mechanics itself.
