It isn't just about raw talent, though.
If they ever pick up a second driver, one thing is certain: their physical build needs to be almost identical to Alonso's.

If we actually brought Kubica on board, we'd be stuck trying to design and develop two completely different cars at the same time.

I mean, what, did his wife cheat on him with an ex or something???
Did he take a hit to the seat or something and now he can't drive straight? Or maybe...🙄

And look, I'm no crazy fanatic, trust me, I've seen much weirder stuff than this...
The thing is, I just love rooting for the underdogs... just pure spite, honestly, screw it all...

This Petrov guy seems alright to me, though. He drives decent enough, but it feels like he only jumped into Formula 1 because the paycheck was too good to pass up🙏

That safety car just wiped out the entire advantage...
Get your act together.😁

Oh, you get your act together. Button, Nico, Kubica, and Petrov all went from having a massive 40-second lead down to basically nothing once that SC hit the track. And honestly? There's a huge question mark over whether they even should have deployed it in the first place!🙄

One thing we have to consider regarding a potential second Ferrari driver is the physical height difference compared to Alonso.

If we actually brought Kubica on board, we'd be stuck trying to develop two different cars at the same time.

I think it's actually the opposite. Kubica and Alonso drive very similarly. A car that works for one would likely work for the other. I don't see a slight height difference being much of an issue.

rustystag7 makes some good points here.

Massa might be a bit soft, but let’s be honest—he was basically eating chemical compounds for breakfast while they were tearing up the track together in the Ferrari.🙏

Let's be realistic
Kimi didn't actually drive nearly as poorly as people claim when he was alongside young Mass

That’s exactly why everyone was losing their minds when Mass hit Vettel right in the head 😉
don't you think...

rustystag7 said:the guy is looking for actual evidence rather than just some silly crashes like that incident with Vettel...

Kubica isn't a bad driver, but honestly, it's all just talk without any real proof...

There's something behind Mass that nobody can deny, whether they like him or not...

Mass completely outclassed Kimi during his time at Ferrari...
He nearly took the championship—just missed it by a single point, which doesn't matter—but he proved he could be a worthy opponent to anyone...

So, you're saying Mass outclassed Kimi at Ferrari? That's interesting...☕
Last time I checked the stats, Kimi was the one bringing the title back to Ferrari...🤷

rustystag7 said:Wait, what else is there to do to prove Mass beat Kimi???
I mean, what more do you need besides consistently staying ahead of Kimi???

Because right now, nothing I say seems to be enough...

Since if you look at anything, Mass was better than Kimi during those two or three seasons—whether you look at the total picture, the number of wins... or the points....🤷

.

I'd bet anything that Mass wouldn't have been able to win at Spa with that junk car he was driving... that's where you see how truly good a driver Kimi is...🙏🙏
I don't know, the experts (not the forum types, I mean the real ones...😁) always placed Kimi in a higher class when it came to pure pace—his motivation might have been a bit off...😁 but, the raw speed was definitely on his side...
But then again, how was Mass better overall if Kimi won the championship? 🤷 The number of wins was equal, and Mass edged him out by a few points... though you really have to factor in the team dynamics at Ferrari over those last two seasons...

Morgan Murphy7 said:Get real,
Kimi didn't exactly spend much time racing alongside little Mass.
🤷

It’s honestly pretty incredible—this guy managed to clinch the championship in his very first season driving alongside Mass, who had been a fixture there forever. Even though he ended up just behind Mass in the standings the following year, let's be real—Kimi certainly wasn't just cruising along in his shadow...🙏

Man, Kimi is just the absolute king compared to Mass...
I mean, seriously, how many people actually tried to drag him down back then... 🤣

While I drop by here frequently to stay updated on the important news, I don't usually bother posting. However, this constant bashing of Alonso from certain users on this forum is nothing short of pure idiocy.
Take TBF1, for instance, who would invent entirely new regulations just to target Alonso—even though there’s already a specific penalty for jump starts that has always been applied consistently. But the moment Alonso does it, suddenly he should be disqualified for this race and probably five more because apparently, it's "cheating" or whatever nonsense they're claiming now.
rustystag7 said:If I were in his shoes, I would have held my line just to see how beautiful it would have been if they both slammed into the wall at the pit entry.

Did you even watch the race? Mass was on the outside; if he had held his line, he would have gone straight through without any collision occurring. Alonso positioned himself perfectly while Mass was late to react. Sure, we can debate whether you should play games with a teammate, but the move itself was brilliant.
A few races back, Alonso was catching Mass quite rapidly, and when Alonso made his move, Mass shut the door at the risk of a collision. Up until then, everyone else had passed him using that exact same legitimate maneuver, yet people still argued you shouldn't do that to a teammate who is clearly faster, especially halfway through a race. But back then, you all hailed Mass's move as genius.
In short, Hamilton plays dumb during the press conference, acting like he has no idea what happened in the pits. Vettel cries about someone trying to puncture his tires even though he was the one intentionally shoving them toward the mechanics. Schumi sent Mass and Hamilton straight into the grass, and Webber sues Hamilton for simple overtaking, all while performing some of the most dangerous maneuvers on the track itself. My point is that most of these drivers are nothing but crybabies (with the exception of Kubica and Kimi), but at least Hamilton and Alonso actually try, and for that, I give them a massive 🙏.

A few races back, Alonso was catching Mass quite rapidly. When Alonso made his move, Mass shut the door so aggressively it practically invited a crash. Up until then, everyone had been passing him easily—it was a legitimate defensive move, yet people argued he shouldn't squeeze a faster teammate halfway through a race. But back then, everyone was calling Mass's maneuver "genius."
At this point, Hamilton is at the press conference acting clueless about what happened in the pits, playing the victim. Vettel is crying because he claims someone tried to puncture his tires, even though he was the one intentionally forcing his way toward the mechanics. Schumi sent both Mass and Hamilton straight into the grass, and Webber is busy suing Hamilton for simple overtaking, despite being involved in some of the most reckless maneuvers on the track. The bottom line? Most of them are nothing but crybabies (with the exception of Kubica and Kimi), but at least Hamilton and Alonso show some fight. I’ll give them a massive 🙏 for that.

Well put! 🙏

I seriously can't stand these soft losers, even when they drive like absolute gods, because the second things go south they start whining and blaming everyone else for their own mess...
that’s why I actually respected Kimi back in the day instead of dealing with Mass or Alonso, who both just... 🤮
honestly, I’d much rather have seen Kubica take that Mercedes seat than Schumi

Here is what Jergović is saying, and honestly, he hits the nail on the head
I assume when people put Webber in parentheses, they’re only referring to his relationship with his teammate; compared to the rest of the grid, he’s definitely no saint.

I suspect the mention of Webber in parentheses is strictly in relation to his teammate; compared to the rest of the field, he’s certainly no saint.

Hahaha, that gave me a good laugh.

Honestly, that Weber guy is probably the most self-serving person on the entire grid.

He’d step over his own mother if it meant getting an edge. 🙏
