Watchmen—honestly, it’s easily the most tedious, mindless, and unnecessary movie I've ever sat through. It was so boring it actually drove me up the wall just trying to get through it. Even The Dark Knight felt a bit underwhelming to me—a slight disappointment, if you will. Personally, I think Batman Begins is much better.

Is Riddick actually a superhero? 😬In my book, he’s the toughest guy out there... 😁
Compared to someone like The Dark Knight or V for Vendetta...

Well, the guy has an animated series and a video game... it’s definitely a bit of a gray area. I'm not even sure if he has his own comic book yet. He's more of an anti-hero, I suppose. :-)

I can't say I was particularly satisfied with Watchmen either, far from it... it truly felt like the most dull and senseless experience, though I suppose I expected much more from it... And the same goes for The Dark Knight, as I find Begins to be the superior film...👍👍

It sounds like you might be missing the point of what a superhero actually is, and honestly, it seems like you haven't even read V for Vendetta 🙂. Strictly speaking, even Batman doesn't really fit the superhero mold since he's defined as a costumed crime fighter, but let's not split hairs. And V in V for Vendetta isn't even close—he's a terrorist. The movie tries to soften that by making the characters feel more black and white, but even then, I'd never call that a superhero movie. I mean, seriously, what does V for Vendetta have in common with Superman?🤷

As I mentioned earlier, I consider Batman and Punisher to be exceptions as well..

They are both comic books or graphic novels. Both protagonists fight for their own specific goals..

Exactly, and Bone is a comic character fighting for his own goals too, but he isn't a superhero 🤷 just because he's a character in a comic. To be a superhero, you need at least some powers, like having X-ray vision to peek under skirts or something like that.😉

Well, of course you aren't. But it is one of the assumptions. "Super" doesn't just refer to having powers; it simply means your actions set you apart from everyday heroes like firefighters. For instance, Daredevil (2009) and Kick-Ass are also considered unconventional superheroes.

This is my first post, so I figured I’d kick things off with movies. Since I’m probably the most knowledgeable cinephile on this board, I’m putting my money on Ghost Rider and Spider-Man as the absolute gold standard. They are easily the best adaptations we've ever seen—completely breathtaking from start to finish.

Let’s settle this debate once and for all: who is actually the strongest superhero? In my book, it’s definitely Superman. He could absolutely crush Superman if he wanted to. After him, I’d say Ghost Rider takes the lead—that ability to sense everything combined with that hellfire surrounding him makes him incredibly dangerous to anyone nearby. That puts Darkman right there on the edge of the top tier too.
