When did we actually see any overtaking in Monaco? Maybe back during that era when Pirelli and Bernie were pulling stunts with the tires, but otherwise, not really. Just think back to twenty years ago when David Coulthard got stuck behind an Arrows for almost the entire race, or 2003 when there wasn't a single overtake the whole time. Monaco is just built that way—it’s not about the cars, it’s the track itself...

That is exactly what I am getting at... 🙂
Exactly. It just means Lance Stroll didn't squeeze everything he possibly could out of that car.

Man, Ferrari absolutely blew it today.
You lose championships when you make mistakes like this. Look, mechanical failures and crashes happen—you have to factor those in—but a top-tier team shouldn't just be throwing away points like this.

So, just a single file procession, total boredom, and a lot of yawning...

Look, "difficult" to overtake is one thing, but "virtually impossible" is something else entirely. In recent years, we've seen some extreme cases where drivers were nursing totally shot tires or even driving a broken car and still managed to hold their position...

I really ought to head out to see the Indy500, but I just don't have the cash right now
—basically, my budget is headed in a different direction.
For now, I'm watching Monaco from my armchair.
All I can do is laugh at these "Formula 1 experts" and self-proclaimed gurus who spend all their time debating which driver is going to clip the barrier next...
It would be much more productive to ask who *won't* hit it.
Honestly, over the last 20 or 30 years, almost every driver has spent some time brushing up against those walls—whether it was during practice, qualifying, or the actual race...
Though, if you ask me, the most notorious move is that little "parking job"right against the wall...
Any real Formula 1 fan knows exactly what I'm talking about; only the absolute fanatics would try to defend that kind of driving....
Look, he had a great mentor—Qualifying 85 was solid👍

They didn't get anywhere with Sergio Perez:

As for Max, yeah—there’s actually something there. He pushed a bit harder and might catch a penalty—even if the wet track and slicks make things a little more complicated. Honestly, let them penalize him; it makes the gap to Checo a little smaller anyway. 🤣
If they didn't penalize Lando Norris in Russia due to "excessive force," then how on earth can they expect to penalize anyone else for this?

That’s exactly why I always tune into MotoGP first; man, that stuff never fails to deliver the goods.🙂

Even back in 1992, Senna managed to pull off a win while driving a car that was five seconds slower, just by holding down the middle of the track. That’s just how Monaco is. Honestly, it might be smart for them to tweak the circuit layout somewhere, like ditching that chicane right after the tunnel and adding a slightly longer DRS zone instead.

So I'm looking at the forecast right now, and there's an 8-11% chance of rain between 3 and 5 PM. Look, obviously it's not some perfect 100% guarantee, but by this point, you can actually start making a decent call on what's coming...

Ashley Ramirez4 said:Man, you clearly haven't seen the standing water out there—even SC had issues and they weren't even pushing it.
Scuderia Ferrari is part of it, sure...
But the real nightmare is starting on cold tires—tires that get even colder because the Safety Car is painfully slow...
Just look at the races where it starts raining after the lights go out; they manage to drive through to the end without these kinds of issues...

Spot on...
But honestly, you can still qualify a car in a position it has absolutely no business being in based on pure speed...
It works both ways—good or bad.

What a tactical masterpiece 🤦
Ferrari legends, I knew they’d find a brilliant way to screw up this season 🙏
It was actually pretty weird that every single race this season hasn't been such a tactical disaster...
AM's strategy is pure fantasy too 🤦
Pokte, what on earth were you experimenting with in Monaco? 🤦
Well, at least I'm happy for Perez and Sainz 🙏
They really needed this one 👍😁

If those laws were absolute, Pastor Maldonado would never have snatched a pole position and a race win, yet there we were.
Everything just aligns perfectly at the right moment, and suddenly you get a result that defies any logical explanation.
It's happened countless times in Formula 1 history, and it'll happen again.

But honestly, Ferrari’s strategy deserves nothing less than an immediate firing. Leclerc didn't mess up or lose his lead because of anything he did... it was just that absolutely disastrous pit call.
And I have to ask, what’s the deal with Verstappen ignoring the racing line? Are the stewards just blind or what?...
How can you not get this 🤣
It was clearly stated they were investigating Perez for cutting the line...
but then after all that deep investigation, they decided Perez didn't actually cut it. 🙂🤣

As things stand right now, we aren't seeing any rain.
Maybe there’ll be some sudden downpour if the weather decides to go crazy, but I wouldn't count on it... all hope is gone.

If Mercedes-Benz actually had a car worth fighting with, Lewis Hamilton would be the one leading the charge.
That’s not even a debate at this point...
Pulling ahead? More like he'd need a shot of bourbon or something. 🤷
Lujo is incredibly fast when his head is straight, but mentally he's a complete wreck and a total mess...
We saw it back in the McLaren days, and we definitely saw it again during the Nico Rosberg era...
With him in this current state, even if the car was three seconds faster than everyone else, we wouldn't see him take a title...

Carlos Sainz basically shut them down over the radio.
If he hadn't called them out so bluntly, I imagine they would have just kept covering the other drivers and nobody would have known anything happened at all. 😁
