Actually, if you watch the camera on Leclerc's car, it clearly shows him running over something with his rear left tire—or at least hitting it with the back left side of the car.

The amateurs were just waiting for the rain to quit so they could run on slicks. They're terrified of losing grip on the track.

Honestly, this is easily the most tedious track on the calendar. Qualifying basically becomes more important—and frankly, way more exciting—than the actual race itself. There’s zero room to overtake, so once the grid is set, that’s pretty much it; you’re stuck with whatever position you grab at the start until the checkered flag. Plus, there's always that looming threat of someone smashing into the barriers or causing a massive pile-up...

User, I swear, not too long ago they were actually arguing about whether to call the race due to monsoon-level rain. They’d just cruise lap after lap under the Pace Car, waiting for even the slightest hint of a biblical downpour before deciding to go again. Nowadays? A tiny bit of drizzle hits the track and everything gets canceled immediately.
