Seems a bit fishy to me—like a pre-planned golden parachute. If he calls it quits at the end of June because they won't let him get a piercing, it looks way better for his PR to play the "rebel against the evil NASCAR" card rather than admitting he's just burnt out and driving a slow-ass race car.
