Quick little update:

Feel free to swing by around 8 PM. We won't be right on the embankment itself, but we'll be on the road leading up to it at the exact same spot, so you definitely won't miss us.
The street that runs from Horvat Street down to the embankment is called Petrovaradin Avenue, and that’s also the name of the light rail station where you'll need to hop off... so yeah, see you soon!:-)

So, how much of a trek is it to get to the road? 🤔

Just a practical question: is there a convenience store, gas station, or even just a roadside stand nearby where we can pick up some snacks, or should we just pack our own food?

Honestly, I don't think there's much out there. It's pretty desolate. It's right off the main highway heading toward the outskirts. But, just to be safe, there's a convenience store right at the light rail stop... two stops before we get there (basically marked by that first icon on the map).

If you crash before then, you'll be limping, so you won't have anything to carry anyway. Not that I'm an expert. 🤷

The cops were watching us the whole time. We're a threat to them. RESIST!

I wonder how much more that guy would have been rambling if the cops hadn't shown up. Between the headlights and those sunglasses, he could barely even see the drum kit through the glare😬

Then again, I had four beers in me, so I'll admit the music wasn't half bad🙈 Personally, I think they might actually be onto something if they spent another year grinding at it🤷

Honestly, I don't get why the police aren't stationed outside every single bar in downtown Chicago to make sure they shut down right on schedule. Those places are just breeding grounds for reckless capitalist types. One day, they’ll probably be auditing their grandkids' bank accounts too 😢 🙂
