Edward Howard2 said:Massa has been a letdown for ages now—honestly, I don't get what Ferrari is thinking by dragging this out with his seat situation, because let's be real, that guy isn't winning a championship no matter what he's driving. As for Kimi, I don't even think these are rookie mistakes anymore... it feels more like we're finally seeing who he actually is now that all those computer aids are gone, you know? This is the real deal for Kimi. Time will tell if he keeps making these kinds of blunders in future races, and I'm not talking about bad luck or pushing too hard—I'm talking about him just not knowing better. You can see it when you compare him to Fernando Alonso in this race. They were both pushing it to the limit, but how many mistakes did Alonso make?? Zero. And that just proves once again that he's the best driver in F1 right now. Kimi is my biggest disappointment from this race, and honestly, maybe even the whole season, but hey, we'll see...

Kimi had those wild outbursts in previous seasons back when TC was still a thing too. Now that it's gone, he hasn't actually changed how he drives, it's just that the flaws are way more obvious now. If he keeps going like this, I really don't see how he's ever gonna take a title....🤷

I am totally with you on this...👍👍🙏🙏

Anyone who manages to wreck a JPM should probably get an award.🙂

The only thing I’m happy about is seeing Heifield and Robert Kubica on the podium. Seriously, hats off to those guys!

Mark Ruiz8 said:You're generalizing too much. Both Kimi Räikkönen and Fernando Alonso are incredible drivers. Anyone can make a silly mistake now and then—just look back at when Alonso went off at turn one a couple of times during the race in Canada last year. Does that mean he can't drive?
Plus, in my book, those two mistakes don't really have anything to do with lacking TC. The first time he just pushed way too hard, and the second time he just caught the grass.

Honestly, you can count Alonso's mistakes on one hand if you try hard enough, whereas Kimi Räikkönen definitely had a few more throughout his career. But that's water under the bridge now; driving without TC is a whole different ballgame.
That's just how I see it, and I bet it'll prove true in the upcoming races. I'll probably end up quoting my own old posts a bunch of times this season just to remind you...

And how many mistakes did Fernando Alonso make?? Zero. The team proved once again that he's currently the best driver in F1.

By what logic? He isn't the world champion right now, didn't win in Melbourne, and wasn't driving brilliantly.

Kimi Räikkönen was the biggest disappointment for me this race, maybe even this season, but we'll see...

Yeah, sure, the season isn't even over yet. BTW, if you weren't paying attention, Kimi Räikkönen was rated the fastest driver during the test season. He just had a bad day.

Also, all this talk about the removal of electronic aids—as if we're finally going to see who the "real" drivers are. Lewis Hamilton was actually a huge supporter of electronic aids because he wanted maximum tech to squeeze absolute perfection out of the car, and he was right. Nobody else could extract that much from a machine like he did. The power-to-grip ratio today without electronics is basically the same as last year when they had them. So, let's not make a mountain out of a molehill; everyone will adapt. It's not some big mystery.

Mark Ruiz8 said:Lewis Hamilton was in a league of his own 🙏

Totally blanked on mentioning Lewis...
Man, what "league of his own"? Nothing spectacular happened there today. He didn't need to push at all—he even said it himself—so there wasn't really any room for him to mess up. He basically just cruised around the track from start to finish. The crew absolutely crushed it for him again, and he just drove exactly what he needed to secure the win. That’s it. No complaints here, but I'm definitely not handing out any massive praise for his driving today either.

silentorca492 said:Like, based on what? He isn't even the current world champ, and he didn't even win in Melbourne,

Look, he might not be the current champ, but the guy is a two-time world champion. Honestly, he probably would've taken it last year too if he hadn't gone at war with his entire crew. 😂😂😂 I mean, does he really need to win every single race just to prove to you that he's an elite driver? 😕😂
silentorca492 said:Yeah, yeah, the season isn't even over yet. BTW, in case you weren't paying attention, Kimi was rated the fastest driver during testing. He just had an off day.

That's exactly why I said maybe we'll see more later...
BTW, if you haven't realized this yet, testing and actual races are two totally different beasts. I have no idea how you can even compare them? 😕

Who told you Lewis Hamilton is the GOAT? Most people in the world would totally disagree with you.

Robert Kubica wasn't on the podium—I guess you're thinking of Nico Rosberg.😉>

Most people agree, and the minority doesn't. And that minority is wrong.

😕
Most folks are calling Senna the GOAT, if you haven't noticed already. Personally, I’d put Prost and Alonso right up there with him—based on the races I actually caught them driving, anyway. There might be some older legends out there too, but yeah. As for Microsoft, he’s only at number four. He’s maybe a hair better than Jack Villeneuve, but honestly, they’re probably neck and neck in my book. It's totally debatable.

Most people put Senna at the top of the GOAT list. If you haven't noticed, I’d actually rank Prost and Alonso right up there alongside MS. At least based on what I watched. Maybe there are some from earlier eras too. To me, MS is just 4th, and he's only marginally better than Jack Villeneuve—if they aren't basically tied. It's debatable.

Honestly, you clearly don't know anything about F1.🤷
And those few people putting Senna ahead of Schumacher are in the minority, no matter how much they try to deny it.😛

Man, you're exaggerating a bit—not sure how much time you actually spent watching Villeneuve.🤣
