Man, those "intellectual" debates over the last few posts have been intense... what happened? Did everyone just lose their minds all at once?
The way I see it regarding Wrigley Fieldโthe location is strategically unique. You've got that road where people can basically pelt the visiting fans with stones, and the cops won't let you out until the streets are spotless.
Eastโdoes anyone actually know the capacity of that old standing section?
Then you've got the West side, where that small, privileged crowd usually hangs out...
Do they even still have those honorary passes over there, or did they scrap them?
And whatever happened to the guys from the original '86/'87 militia?
Honestly, if they had to get rid of the standing areasโmeaning they added seats that probably cut capacity by like 30%โI find it hard to believe more than 25,000 or 30,000 people can actually fit, despite what some people claim... though seeing a smaller stadium packed with real energy is cool, I guess. Damn. The capacity at the big stadium is 30,000-something... you see the difference? (And don't go thinking I'm just trying to start something)
Cheers!
P.S. Does anyone remember Chicken? Or the late Drago Babiฤ, who used to run that cafe and the folk music club?

George Roberts2 said:What kind of nonsense is this? Are you kidding me right now? Just complete and utter garbage. Honestly, I don't even know why I bother engaging with this level of stupidity sometimes. Itโs pathetic.๐
Forget that "gay of life" nonsense youโre peddling for those late-night outings in Cleveland. Just stop.๐
Look, can we please step outside this "local Cleveland patriot" bubble for five minutes? If you want to actually get somewhereโmaybe even have a conversation that isn't completely pointlessโwe need to drop the hyper-fixation on hometown pride. Once we move past that, maybe weโll finally start speaking the same language and actually exchange some ideas worth reading.๐๐

.. try using some vocabulary outside of that "Cleveland patriot" bubbleโmaybe then weโll actually understand each other and I might even consider exchanging a coherent thought with you..๐ ๐

You guys are the absolute best...๐

There were exactly four of them, assuming the latest report from the New York Times is actually legit

Six freezing members๐

Ugh, fine, Iโll just apologize then! And honestly? That right there is all the proof you need that you can't trust this new list for anything, especially when such a massive group of people can't even perform a basic task like counting properly, like, for real? ๐

stormyseal9 said:Well, I guess I'll just offer my apologies then, and honestly, if that isn't proof enough that you can't trust this new list... I mean, when such a massive number of people can't even manage to count properly like they're supposed to... it really makes you wonder about everything else...๐
Wait, can I ask you something for a second... why has everyone suddenly become so obsessed with the attendance numbers for that friendly match between the Cleveland B-team and Poland? Iโm genuinely curious because I see people tracking those stats on some kind of virtual leaderboard for online fans, so I was just wonderingโhow many points do you actually get in the online fan community for preseason games played by the B-squad?

What on earth are you even talking about? The guy asked me a question, so I just told him what I saw right there in the USA Today, then some dude decided to correct me and yeah, that was that, end of story. Honestly, it kills me how much people care about which fans belong to which side, because I seriously don't give a damn about anyone else besides our own crew. I love the Kansas City Chiefs, period. I couldn't care less about the rest of them, even if I might have a soft spot for a couple of other teams here and there, but your๐

Look, if youโve actually been paying attention to my posts, you know Iโm never trashing my hometownโI freaking love this city, okay? But when it comes to those other guys in your hooligan crew, man, theyโre a whole different story. I mean, sure, there are a handful of sane people in that group, but most of them? Absolute nightmares. Anyway, stay golden, buddy!๐

stormyseal9 said:If youโve been following my posts, you know I would never badmouth Cleveland. I love this city. But let's be real: when it comes to your fan group, aside from a few sane individuals, the rest of you are a complete mess. Cheers to you, buddy.๐
Look, boldmarlin5, just relax. Stop getting worked up over nothing. ๐๐

stormyseal9 said:anyway, I don't really care how many other fans there are besides ours since I don't spend my time worrying about anyone else... I love the Los Angeles Dodgers, and honestly, everyone else is just background noise to me
Right... which is exactly why you felt the need to jump in and reply... if you truly didn't give a damn, you wouldn't have bothered at all ๐
PS. Since you claim to be a die-hard Dodgers fan... just out of curiosity, how many times a year do you actually head down to the Rose Bowl? ๐คฃ
#1177 ·
We had a friendly match today too, and get thisโbarely 50 people showed up, and thatโs assuming they even finished their road trips to get there! Seriously, huge respect to you guys, but maybe put in a little more work when you're playing away from home and then you'll be unstoppable, though if you ask me, you're already the number three team in the league, no matter what anyone else tries to claim.๐
#1178 ·
Look, I hit up maybe 10 to 15 games a year, and honestly, half of those are at the Rose Bowl, so if youโre actually happy with that, fine! But hey, if things didn't go my way this season, I swear I'll step it up and show up for at least a few more games next time, okay?๐

stormyseal9 said:well, I make it out to about 10 or 15 games a year, and half of those are at the Rose Bowl, so if you're happy with that, then fine... if not this year, I promise I'll try to step it up and show up for at least a few more next season๐
So we're talking exactly five to seven home games... man, I gotta hand it to you, especially coming from someone who usually spends their time counting how many people show up to watch the B-team matches. Respect where it's due ๐
#1180 ·
Look, man, if youโve been around the block for more than 15 years, youโd realize this is our home turf, even if we have to travel further for away games than most of you guys do 249 miles, instead of just being some 5-6.2 miles afterthought. And hey, I actually appreciate that you care about T, and look, I get itโwe probably rub a lot of you the wrong wayโbut if you aren't aware, weโre literally the oldest supporter group in the city๐, running strong since 1983
