Intel Core 2 quad E9550 @2.83
ATI Sapphire Radeon 4870HD
4GB DDR2 RAM, can't remember if it's 1600 MHz or slower
2x 500GB HD, probably 7200 RPM
Intel DG45ID

Selling that?
I wouldn't :O
Just overclock the CPU to 3GHz
Grab a new GPU and call it a day😁 you could still run it🙂

There's zero chance of overclocking on that board.

Give me an estimate on these parts:

Asrock P45DE (LGA 775)
Intel Core i7-12700K
2x 2GB DDR2 Kingmax 1066
ECS 8800GT 512MB + Accelero S1

obviously, nothing comes with a warranty...

Fl@Tron I'm still trying to wrap my head around what was just said... honestly, it’s like some people just don't get how things actually work out here in the States... anyway, Anthony Garcia14 was saying...
Wait, you’re actually putting this up for sale? Seriously?
I wouldn't... honestly...
So I was looking at this CPU running at 3GHz and, honestly, it just gets me thinking about how much we overlook the little things... you know? Like, people act like raw clock speed is the end-all, be-all of performance, but then you actually sit down to work and realize how much everything else matters too. It’s kind of like driving a car where the speedometer says one thing, but the actual engine feel tells you a completely different story... anyway, what was I saying... yeah, that 3GHz mark, it feels right on the edge of being enough for most stuff, but then you hit a heavy workload and suddenly it feels like you're trying to run a marathon in flip-flops... it's frustrating, really...
You just buy a new graphics card and suddenly everything is fine... life is good again... peace at last... 😁 I mean, you could still drive it if you really wanted to... but honestly, why would you even bother at this point? It’s just asking for trouble... 🙂

Look, I’m not selling anything, okay? I don't exactly have a mountain of cash lying around to go out and drop on something brand new... 😁
I mean, honestly, this stuff is actually pretty decent... I had my TR9 running on Ultra and it didn't even break a sweat... 😁

I was just sitting here wondering what the hell it would even be worth today... I picked it up back in the day for about ten bucks... $0.00 Five years ago... everything was just different, you know? I can't even wrap my head around how much has shifted since then, and honestly, looking back makes me want to scream a little bit... things were simpler, maybe a bit more predictable, but now we’re all just spinning our wheels in this chaotic mess we call modern life... turns out time really does move faster when you aren't paying attention, and I feel like I blinked and the whole world just decided to flip upside down without asking anyone first...

Motherboard - $200
CPU - $600-$700
RAM - 2x$200
GPU - $250

Besides, this thing is still decent; it handled my Ryzen 9 on Extreme just fine... 😁

Just wondering what it would be worth today... I picked it up for about $10 $0.00 five years ago...

Based on what you listed... maybe $2500 max.

RAM $50 max for both new ones with a warranty, you're looking at $133

It’s a bummer, honestly—exactly 150. There was a time when you could easily snag a 2x2GB kit for $67, but those days are long gone.

so you'd really pay $133 for two used 2GB sticks at $800?? $83 i'd just grab a brand new 4GB DDR3 1600 stick instead

I wouldn't. We are talking about DDR2 1066MHz here, not DDR3. Go ahead, try to find any listing for 2x2GB DDR2 desktop RAM for $50. These things are getting hard to find; you can barely find them for $200$83 anymore.

And by the way, I'm not saying it's a good deal—I'm just saying those are unfortunately the prices out there right now.

Which you can't even plug into a DDR2 motherboard—let's not confuse apples with oranges here. Just drop the link for those $133 4GB DDR2 1066 modules.

I'm not trying to start anything. I'm not even talking about that specific computer, just saying the memory estimate is totally off. You can find that much RAM at a local Best Buy for way less than what this bad math suggests. Just do a quick search online...

And btw, I’m not saying it’s worth it... just that those are the prices.

Obviously it isn't worth it when new DDR3 and a modern motherboard cost less than what people think three-year-old parts are worth. You can still find stuff with a 775 socket, so you could grab a Quad on eBay for $100

That's the logic... "I paid $2667 back then, so now I want $5,000 for it."😂

Hey there!
I'm looking to sell my Cosmos case, and I was just wondering if anyone could help me figure out what a fair price might be?

Well, look, for some $233, I seriously doubt you’re going to see any more gains. For certain $333, you’ve already got access to the Carbide 500 R—which, if you ask me, absolutely blows that Cosmos out of the water.

ASUS ROG Maximus
Kingmax 2GB 800MHz DDR2
Intel Core 2 Duo, though I can't quite remember if it was the 2400 or 2600 version
The GPU is an Nvidia GeForce 8 series and it’s running way too hot
