crimsonstag84 said:A build like that is basically worth $1667. If it’s only a few months old, you could definitely squeeze by at just under $1333.

Honestly, asking $4,200 wouldn't even be out of line...

especially since everything still has a warranty.

I've been trying to move this entire setup for a while now without much luck, though I'm seeing some interest in individual parts. I was hoping someone could give me a reality check on what I should actually be asking for each component. Thanks in advance.

You're lowballing the prices way too much... an SSD alone goes for at least $350, and a CPU is easily more than $333... probably closer to $1200... the case definitely isn't just $33... RAM should be at least 50-$20 higher too... and the GPU is definitely going up by at least $67

Yeah, you've got a point there... I just took a quick look at how they list their prices on the site. You could probably snag a case for around $300-$350, though a brand new one would run you closer to $550. As for the GPU, I didn't see anything specific listed, but you can usually find a new one in that $250-$320 range if you're looking around right now.

In my view, $333 this is perfectly fine for an Intel i5-4460. I once saw someone selling an i5-4440 for $267 around that same price
.

With the new SSD being $117, there’s no way you’re getting $350 for a used one. Even 8 GB of RAM at Best Buy is around $170, so I wouldn't expect more than $150 on the used market—maybe even less if you want to move it quickly. $333 is perfectly fine for an Intel i5-4460. As for a 500 GB HDD for $100, I don't know, I’d probably say $20. The only thing is the case is way too cheap; I'd value that at about $25.

It’ll run, but don't expect much on high settings. The motherboard isn't great (it’s got its issues, mine does too), the HDD is probably just some old, slow 250GB clunker, and the power supply is some random Corsair unit—could be a decent series, could be total junk. You got any other interesting listings?

I guess $1167 if you aren't running an official version of Windows. Maybe try setting a slightly higher value as your starting point.

The Windows license is genuine. Every single part is under warranty through December 2017.

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE
Extra cooler: Cooler Master Katana 3 + I've got the stock one too if anyone actually needs it
Motherboard: Gigabyte 870 A-UD3
PSU: Seasonic 520W, 80+ Gold
HDD: Samsung F3 1TB
RAM: 4GB DDR3
Case: Cooler Master Elite 334 black + DVD RW drive

Also throwing in a GPU that’s currently acting up—a GTX 460, 1GB GDDR5 Twin Frozr 2. It’s got those classic fan issues; you can find the whole story online. As much as these things are quiet and decent when they work, they love to die on you. Replacement fans on eBay are only like $10-$12. I’m rarely on my PC lately, so I haven't bothered ordering them. Honestly, I’m fine with dropping the price or just tossing the card in for free with everything else, or I could just order the fans myself... whatever works. I don't really care.

Moving out of the country, so I'm getting rid of the rig.

Any idea what a fair price would be?

Hey guys, any idea what I should ask for this on Craigslist? It’s not mine—I’ve been a laptop guy for years, so honestly, I’m pretty much clueless when it comes to desktops.

The old power supply actually fried during a lightning storm, so we picked up a new Antec one:

And just some standard Microsoft case that works totally fine:

Everything was bought back on February 10th, 2015. We've still got the warranties too: 36 months for the CPU, 60 months for the RAM, 24 months for the Antec PSU, and 36 months for the motherboard. Not sure about the SSD 🤷
Anyway, the whole thing is basically still under warranty.

Just a heads up, those two extra hard drives and the monitor aren't part of the deal.

Thx!

RAM - roughly $50
APU - maybe $133
Motherboard - up to $67
SSD - unfortunately, it's a total money pit (you'll need at least $100 new ones), maybe $50, or hit it for 200 if you're feeling reckless
PSU - up to $50 max
Case - about $17

Of course they can always try to ask for more, but honestly, these figures are pretty much the standard market rates right now.
