Hello, I am looking for a realistic market price for this laptop:

Asus F751LX-T4100D
Intel i7 5500
GeForce GTX 950
8 GB RAM
1 TB HDD
Includes 3 USB-A 3.0 ports
HDMI
Etc.

It’s tough to pin down an exact number, but it definitely wouldn't top $2,000. Honestly, maybe I'm overestimating there. If you look at the market today, you can pick up a brand-new laptop featuring an i3 processor (which actually matches that i7 in terms of having 2 cores and 4 threads), 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and an MX130 or MX150 graphics card for somewhere around $3,600-$233, though you're looking at a 15.6" screen. The big plus is that it's brand new and comes with a full manufacturer's warranty...

Could someone please provide a realistic estimate for an AMD Ryzen R7 1700 and a Gigabyte AX370 Gaming 5, excluding the RAM? I'm looking to sell some components I picked up back in August of last year, so they should still have about 24 months of warranty left.

The new CPU should arrive today $0.60, though the motherboard isn't currently in stock. You can find the K5 going for about $400, so you really need to score yours at least 20% cheaper than that to make it worth your while

I've got a couple of GTX Titan X 12 GB cards that I'm looking to part ways with. I picked them up back in 2015, and they're the older version—so, definitely not the Pascal architecture or anything like that. They haven't been overclocked, nor have they been pushed particularly hard over the years. What would you say is a realistic asking price for these these days?

That's a Maxwell architecture card. In terms of raw gaming performance, you're looking at something roughly equivalent to a GTX 1070—it might even pull ahead in specific tasks thanks to the VRAM, but keep in mind it’s an older design and isn't nearly as efficient. Honestly, I’d use the going rate for used GTX 1070s as your benchmark, and maybe price yours a bit lower if you're looking for a quick sale. You might see $833 (I've spotted some GTX 1070s around those prices that still carry a warranty). Just make sure to explicitly mention it's a Maxwell card when you list it; you don't want any headaches later on if someone gets confused by NVIDIA's cryptic naming schemes

Hey there. Ugh, honestly, I thought I’d priced this thing quite aggressively, but perhaps it’s better to just settle things now before the value completely evaporates into thin air, wouldn't you agree? 😬

With the next generation expected to drop within about nine months, it would probably be a smart move to sell now.

Mhm. Honestly, I’m not pulling the trigger on anything new until I find a card that can actually handle 4K at 100Hz on ultra settings. Everything being released these days feels like the exact same mediocre garbage, doesn't it? 😬

Can someone please tell me if this actually counts as a gaming laptop? Honestly, my only other option is to wait until my next three paychecks roll in just to drop $10,000 on some fake Alienware setup, but I'm too restless to wait that long. My nerves are shot, so I’m thinking about grabbing this one since the price is right. I don't know much about the technical side of things, though. In my head, if it has a beefy graphics card and enough storage space for all my games, it should be good to go, right? 🤣:

Acer
AMD processor Intel Core (TM) i5

8 GB RAM

64 GB SSD

1 TB HDD

ATI Radeon 5000 4 GB Graphics Card

There’s just not enough info here. Which i5 generation are we talking about, and what's the specific GPU? Generally speaking, if it's still running a 5xxx series, the answer is an immediate no—that hardware is ancient. Also, what kind of games are you actually looking to play?

dragon1978

Maybe something slightly north of $667, $733 like (excluding the monitor)

https://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/revie...g/358596/specs

So, looking at these specs
i5 m40 @ 2.53ghz
8GB RAM, 64-bit processor
Dell Aspire 5820t
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5
64GB SSD
1TB HDD
Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, 4GB (not sure which DDR)

I'm trying to play all the recent stuff—everything from Dragon Age to The Witcher, plus Heroes of the Storm and whatever else drops lately. Honestly, I'm reaching my limit just hunting for a laptop that actually makes sense. I just want something where the price-to-performance ratio isn't a total joke. 🙂

That won't cut it for any of those demanding games you mentioned.

You really don't need a $10k laptop 😛 like, say,

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/laptop-gaming/

The only thing you might actually need is an external hard drive for your games on Steam. I'm not sure what kind of budget you're working with... personally, I guess this MX150 is about the weakest GPU I'd consider if you want to do any gaming at all.

I mean, if that's how it goes, I'm totally over it... Honestly, I'd rather just grab two tickets for Alien instead.

Hey, could one of you guys check Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist for me? I'm looking for a decent laptop for gaming, but I'm totally lost when it comes to specs.

I’ve decided to go all out and grab three laptops! My little Acer Aspire One Ruby arrives tomorrow, and then there's the tenth Acer I was asking about earlier. To wrap things up for the season, I finally pulled the trigger and reserved an Alienware Core i7 Ryzen 5.
🙂
