Hold up, let me jump in before this gets locked 🙂

Angela Wright, honestly, a shot of bourbon fixes everything for me—I’m basically Chuck Norris in that regard 😉

Look, my point wasn't saying "Yeah, just chug the whole pack to fix a miscarriage." That's not what I meant. I was just saying if someone actually did swallow a whole pack of birth control pills, it wouldn't be the end of the world, despite how much some people were freaking out about it.
At the end of the day, say you take 10mg of progesterone times 21 pills, that’s 210mg in one go. You guys realize there are women out there on hormone therapies taking 400mg of progesterone every single day? So, she’s going to be totally fine. This whole attempt at trolling is a bust from the get-go 🙂

Angela Wright, I drink bourbon to heal my wounds—I’m basically Chuck Norris 😉

My point wasn't suggesting someone should just "chug a whole pack to fix a miscarriage." I was saying if someone actually did swallow a whole pack of birth control pills, it wouldn't be the catastrophe some people are panicking about. Think about the math: say you take 10mg of progesterone times 21 pills, that’s 210mg in a day. Do you have any idea how many women are on hormone replacement therapies involving 400mg of progesterone daily? It's not going to kill her, so this attempt at trolling is a total failure from the jump
🙂

😳
Look, why don't you go finish med school first, then come back and try to lecture us on this topic.☕ Did you even bother reading what wiredpuma5 wrote?
The way you phrased this, combined with the logic and analogies you're using, makes you sound like Chuck Norris playing a doctor in a bad comedy sketch.🙄
Honestly, all this talk about dosages and counts... please, keep writing, it's pure entertainment.🙂 Oh, and why don't you head over to the teen forums in your best professional tone so those kids know exactly what to do when things get messy.🙂

Look, you need to prove that hitting 200, 300, or 400mg of progesterone is basically toxic and puts the liver in the line of fire. Once that happens, the whole endocrine system goes sideways, leading to all those diagnoses you've been throwing around... instead of just sitting here drawing pretty little pictures 🙂

I think we can finally put this disastrous—and honestly, probably fake—thread to bed. Morgan Johnson4 didn't even bother to chime in until gentlecanyon92 suggested it was likely a guy, and then she just used that to drag the argument out even longer. I’ve suspected this whole thing was just some kind of joke from the start, and this pretty much confirms it.

Maria Murphy76 said:Go ahead and prove that 200, 300, or 400mg of progesterone is actually toxic or that it puts the liver at risk, leading to all those endocrine issues and diagnoses you've cooked up. Instead of drawing little fairy tales here...🙂

Look, lady, I’m personally taking Yasmina, which has one of the lowest hormone concentrations out there—and trust me, if I didn't have endometriosis, I wouldn't touch it because it hits my liver hard. Some people handle this stuff perfectly fine, while others can't stomach it at all. Since everyone's biology is different and in medicine, 1+1 doesn't always equal 2, you actually need oversight from professionals rather than people acting like they're experts without a clue. You want more finger-painting projects😉?
If you're actually curious about the science, go ask your gynecologist. I'm sure they'd be happy to explain it to you, so maybe check with a real doctor before coming in here trying to lecture us with your version of medical "facts."

I just can't believe this.... I mean, you're probably going to feel *something*, because honestly, there's no way you could take that much and not have some kind of reaction... maybe... I don't know.

I honestly think Marina is full of it, seriously... how dumb would you have to be? I mean, I don't believe you can just toss it like that; it feels more like she's just hurting herself and the baby... and even if what she says is true, it’s like, why would she come onto a forum and brag about it like someone talking about cheating on an exam?

Why is this user, Angela Wright, constantly attacking people on this forum? She’s calling the author a troll—whatever that's supposed to mean—as if she’s reading everyone's thoughts through some crystal ball.

From what I can tell, her behavior looks like a desperate attempt at a RU486 effect; honestly, she’d be better off finding actual medication instead of poisoning herself with these baseless accusations.

Hey, can a mod please just lock this thread? Honestly... I don't really have anything else to add at this point... maybe it's just time to call it...

To me, what's being described sounds like a desperate attempt at a RU486 effect; she’d be better off getting actual medication instead of poisoning herself with these lies.

🙄
Troll-trolling: writing specifically to bait someone into an argument (Google works wonders, or so my crystal ball tells me)😛

I don't need a crystal ball. A little experience on this board is enough, and if you want to start, just read the rules and try to act like a decent human being for once.☕

jadesailor14, please, just lock this thread before more original posts flood in with these same tired ideas. The more I dwell on this topic, the darker it feels, which is weird because I'm actually pretty liberal on stuff like abortion, but this is just straight-up beyond anything...🤮

Why? Is it bothering you?

And honestly, why act surprised? It’s like wondering why ducks go to the pond—people do much weirder things all the time!
It's totally possible this happened.

We should keep the topic open though, just so others don't get the bright idea to try "solving" their problems by swallowing entire packs of pills.

Also, Angela, maybe take a deep breath and work on those communication skills!😉

I can't even deal with this right now. Just absolute nonsense. [User Name] says:
I don't need a prescription. I’ve already cycled through three different kinds and bought all of them out-of-pocket.

Yeah, you need a prescription. But don't even get me started on how irresponsible people at the local pharmacy are—that's a whole different disaster. 🙂

vitajeti said:Look, if she actually stumbled upon the right pack of birth control pills, then she hasn't done anything terrible. Seriously.

Almost everywhere in the EU, they're using mifepristone—you know, that RU486 stuff—as the standard abortion pill.

RU-486 isn't even an option here in the States, and even in places where they actually allow it, I don't think anyone’s using it for their everyday business. 🙄

jadesailor14 said:Why? Because it bothers you?

And why are you all acting shocked that a duck would head to a lake just because someone felt like doing it?
People do much stupider things than this all the time.
This scenario is totally plausible.

Besides, let’s keep this thread open for the sake of anyone else who might mistakenly think they can fix their problems by swallowing handfuls of pills.

Also, Angela Wright, maybe dial back the attitude and work on how you talk to people.😉

It isn't just me who's bothered; plenty of other people in this thread feel the same way. This isn't about being "surprised"—it's about what this entire discussion has devolved into with all these random tangents. We already established the girl was immature and likely panicked, which led to her making a dumb mistake. But we shouldn't let this continue, and honestly, those "advice" posts suggesting she should just go buy more meds to fix herself ought to be deleted. In my opinion, leaving posts like that up is incredibly irresponsible regarding public health. It's been clearly explained to her multiple times—assuming she isn't just trolling—that the right move is to see a gynecologist and handle this professionally.
I don't see any issue with my communication, so what exactly are you implying?🤷
My temperament isn't something I can just switch off; it's in my DNA.😉

Unfortunately, no matter how much good advice you give, most people just end up doing things their own way anyway! 🤷

regardless of how much good advice you try to give them.

Does everything seriously have to be labeled a "bad idea" around here?
Beyond that, there have been plenty of times when someone would post about a health issue I’ve actually dealt with myself—like when I shared what my doctor prescribed and how it worked—only to get shut down by a moderator claiming I wasn't qualified to offer suggestions (it was regarding a fungal infection on my hands once). I ended up posting the exact same sentiment you did above after getting scolded myself. Isn't the situation being discussed here way too serious and complex for us to just sit back and withhold helpful input? I honestly thought these rules applied to all health-related topics across the board.

To be perfectly honest, I actually find myself believing she really did go through with it... though, of course, her intention was clearly to get caught.
And while I certainly agree that her behavior was nothing short of reckless, she came to this forum looking for actual advice, not to be lectured or insulted from every possible angle. 🙂

Regardless of the specifics, she needs to deal with this situation immediately; delaying won't solve a thing, and you can't just sweep a problem like this under the rug and hope it disappears.

The one thing that truly gets under my skin is how irresponsible some people are when it comes to sex. They seem perfectly fine being intimate, yet they can't spare even ten minutes 🙂 out of an entire day to look up information on contraception or educate themselves—unless, of course, things have already gone wrong because a condom broke or something similar happened.

Anyway, I wish her the best of luck... and believe me, being judgmental isn't going to help anyone here.

And honestly, if someone is just making up a story, it doesn't really bother me all that much. :=)

Morgan Johnson4 said:My period was late, but it’s always like this for me... sometimes I'm a whole month late and I didn't even stress about it. But then I started getting these weird symptoms, like my breasts were super painful and felt really heavy... and I felt nauseous too. So I took a test and I'm pregnant... and yesterday I bought Triquilar and just swallowed the entire pack at once... is that really dangerous???

The whole box?! 😲

Girl, you have no idea what kind of absolute hormonal chaos your body is dealing with right now or the fallout you could be looking at. Honestly, it feels like so many girls just pop these birth control pills like they're candy without having any clue how they actually mess with your system, and they don't even bother talking to their OB-GYN first.

Fantastic. Someone’s out here popping an entire blister pack of pills like candy. Honestly, I’d give anything to stop taking that poison, but I'm stuck with it because of this endometriosis I've been battling. Just one pill a day feels like it's wrecking my entire system.

Some people really do act completely childish.

ugh, she's either
- wasn't even pregnant,
- pregnant, just hasn't seen an OBGYN yet,
- saw the doctor, but isn't actually pregnant,
- just bored and decided to start some dumb thread.

anyway, she's fine—just go find that Hugo game on the other PDF.

she could've just come out and said she was messing with us... but this... it's just painfully childish.
and apparently playing Hugo is her thing ☕
