Actually, most people that age tend to think exactly like that.

True enough, but I don't really have life crises big enough to drive me to that kind of stuff—and even if I did, I'd find another way out... I guess I was raised right, so I should probably know right from wrong!

I drink and I smoke, but strictly on the weekends. That's when I go absolutely overboard—just totally trashed—and use a pack of cigarettes basically just to numb my brain out completely.

I’m out here drinking as part of this whole "alcohol over drugs" movement. Honestly, I think I’ve made the biggest impact in my neck of the woods. You guys should get in on this too—it's the only way we're gonna wipe out the drug epidemic for good.

Both, actually. Though I wouldn't say I'm dealing with any major life struggles right now. 😂

🤣🤣 maybe come back and check in on this topic in two or three years.😁

from both of them, though I guess they smoke less and less these days.

Honestly, it happens all the time—people with zero problems in their lives end up drinking too much. Sure, it's not always like that; obviously, some people turn to it because they're struggling, but not everyone...😬
But look, a 14-year-old shouldn't be touching it. At least not the way someone in their 20s would.
Plus, I think the premise here is a bit off. Alcoholism is a disease, but grabbing a drink with friends at a celebration? That's just socializing.
And plenty of well-raised people drink, so that "upbringing" argument doesn't really hold water. 🙂

I don't touch cigarettes, but I suppose I make up for that lack of vice by drinking enough to cover both bases... 🙄

But a 14-year-old shouldn't be touching booze—not compared to someone in their 20s, anyway.
And honestly, the premise is a bit off; alcoholism is a disease, but having a drink at a party while celebrating isn't.
Plus, plenty of people raised in great homes still drink, so age isn't everything here. 🙂

MAYBE YOU’RE RIGHT!!!! Look, I don't know what my future holds, but I can take a guess... and I wasn't even advocating for drinking—it's not that big of a deal if you're moderate... I was talking about cigarettes, which really have nothing to do with age. You see kids under 14 smoking too, though obviously, I won't be one of them—that's my best guess, since I'm not even going to try a cigarette (honestly, I don't see the point) so I won't end up an addict...

Both of them—though the cigarettes are definitely becoming less of an issue lately.

How the hell can you be so damn sure????? If I don't want to, I won't! You don't know me, let alone my life, so just back off! ...Sorry... but seriously, stop commenting... because YOU HAVE NO CLUE what things will look like in 2-3 years!!!
