It’s been 28 days, totally off the pill, and the only time I deal with any pain is when I catch a cold.
I don't even get PMS, though I’ll probably start hemorrhaging if there's some major stressor hitting the news—like, I don't know, a massive political crisis in Afghanistan or something.

My cycle usually runs about 28 days, though sometimes it gets a little wonky and lands on 27 or 29. It typically lasts for five days, and when it comes to the pain, I honestly just feel completely wiped out during those days. I can't get anything done because I'm just stuck dealing with the cramps.😁Most of the time, on that first day, I end up complaining to everyone about how much it hurts, just hoping people will give me some space and leave me alone.🤣 🙂

My cycle is consistently 28 days. I’m on birth control, but even before I started taking it, my timing was always spot on. It is incredibly rare for it to be off by even a day or two.😁

Wait, what do you mean by 26 days? My cycle is exactly 26 days

It usually lasts about a week, sometimes longer... the cramps are brutal, and the PMS is just unbearable🙂

Mostly every 26 days
The pain isn't even that bad, just some headaches a few days before
The bleeding itself only lasts about two days
It changed after that period where my health tanked—too much stress and I dropped weight way too fast
My doctor said the short duration isn't an issue, and honestly, wouldn't most women kill to be in my position?

My cycle runs about 30 days—never hits on the exact same day twice. It lasts 6–7 days total. Then there’s the PMS, which is brutal—about a week out, I get incredibly irritable, bloated, and just want to snap at everyone. The pain during those first two days is unreal. Honestly, unless I take some high-dose Advil, it’s unmanageable. Otherwise, I’m dealing with vomiting—and even fainting.

My cycle is pretty regular—every 28 days—and lasts about four days. I always seem to get it in the morning (even when I'm stressed out), but the pain on that first day is absolutely unbearable. For the other three days, it’s like I don't even have a period at all.
I started my period when I was 11 (I'm 28 now). Up until about a year ago, everything stayed on a steady 30-day cycle without any delays, but after undergoing three consecutive surgeries, it shifted to 28 days. Why that happened? Honestly, I have no idea...😕

As for PMS—it's nothing but chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate, plus a bit of irritability every now and then.

Previously, my cycle would vary by thirty days or more, though I was always consistent enough to never miss a month,
but ever since I started on hormonal birth control, everything has stabilized to a predictable 28-day rhythm, with lighter flow, less cramping, and a significantly milder PMS...

It’s always running about two days behind schedule, if you want to call it that. In my experience, if I get my period on the 27th this month, I can practically guarantee it’ll show up on the 29th, and it just follows that predictable pattern every single time. There is one specific thing I’ve been wondering about, though: my cycle always seems to announce itself first thing in the morning. It’s always that very first drop of blood during my morning routine. I’ve never had it surprise me in the afternoon or catch me off guard late at night; it’s consistently right there when I’m getting ready for the day. Personally, I actually view that as a bit of an advantage—it saves me from those frantic moments of being caught unprepared in public. I’m curious, have any of you noticed a similar pattern with your own timing?

The current situation:
It’s relatively predictable... roughly every 28 days, give or take a day or two... it lasts about 5 to 6 days, and those first three days are honestly brutal. I used to rely on Voltaren to get me through, though I'm not sure what my options are now that it's harder to find... and yeah, for those initial three days, I feel like I definitely need to have overnight pads on hand just to be safe. 🤣

The question/issue:
For two weeks, there's absolutely nothing—no spotting at all—but then for the other two weeks, it's either a full period or some kind of bloody discharge. It’s happened again. I brought this up to my OB-GYN, and his response was basically: "Are you pregnant?" Excuse me, doctor? Since when is that my job to figure out? I mean, I’m coming to see a specialist so they can actually tell me what's going on. If I were capable of diagnosing myself, I probably wouldn't be sitting in your office, right?

I’ve heard that you can experience bleeding during pregnancy, but usually, it’s lighter and doesn't last as long. So, what was he getting at? Is a two-week bout of bleeding a sign of pregnancy? 🤷

Any help would be appreciated, ladies and gentlemen! Thanks. 😬

My cycle stays pretty consistent, usually hitting every 28 or 29 days
The pain is mostly limited to day one. Sometimes it's a total nightmare, other times I barely notice it—Advil does the trick if it gets bad
Lately, though, over the last six months, my flow has shifted. I used to have six days where it started heavy and tapered off, but now it’s more like two or three days of almost nothing, even if the whole thing drags out for a week 🤷

Kimberly Flores56 said:It’s always two days late, so to speak. If I got my period on the 27th this month, the next one will definitely be on the 29th, and so on. One thing I’ve noticed is that I always get that first bit of spotting in the morning. It’s never happened to me in the afternoon or at night. It’s always during my morning routine, which I actually find helpful since it doesn't catch me off guard. Have any of you noticed something similar?

It isn't "late" by two days; you just have a 32-day cycle...
mine is always either in the morning or at night (never the afternoon), and it’s always on the 7th of the month... always...
so my cycle would be about 30 or 31 days...

Oh honey, tell me about it—I have the exact same issue. For those first three days, I lived on a box of Voltaren Rapid; ever since they stopped selling them, I have no idea how I'm going to cope. I've tried other brands, but nothing hits quite like Voltaren.
😢
I just want my Voltaren back!!!
🙂 🙂 🙂

My cycle has always been a bit erratic—anywhere from 21 to 29 days—but lately, it's settled into a 25-day rhythm, so hopefully, it stays that way.

My cycle runs on a pretty steady 28-day loop thanks to the pill, and my period usually lasts about five days. However, the PMS is absolutely brutal—it hits me like a freight train, though I honestly can't tell if that's just my body or a side effect of the medication. For those first two or three days, the pain is just unbearable. I will say, though, that being on the pill has definitely taken some of the edge off.

As for how much easier things will be once I finally stop taking them in a few years? Well, I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. 🤣

My cycle usually runs about 25 to 28 days, which means I end up dealing with my period twice in a single month sometimes 😁. It’s not exactly agonizing, but man, that first day just wipes me out... I'm basically a zombie
. The PMS is absolutely brutal though: sudden bouts of depression, being super irritable, crying over nothing, and in the worst cases, feeling suicidal thoughts... plus those intense food cravings, bloating, skin that feels way too sensitive to even a light touch, and sore breasts... Then, once the bleeding stops, there's this wave of euphoria and good moods 😁. I've noticed that when I actually stick to a workout routine and eat clean, the symptoms aren't nearly as bad

I basically have my cycle down to a science thanks to birth control; I know it’s coming every four weeks on a Wednesday morning, and then it hangs around for two or three days😁. And yeah, I'm actually dealing with it right now...😢

As far as PMS goes, I’ve never really noticed anything major. The only thing is that the day before it starts, I get this little ache on the side where the egg travels from the ovary—it almost feels like a slight swelling if I press on it with my hand—but nothing crazy. I don't even need Advil or anything. But, looking back (now that we're all talking about it), I realized I tend to get way more emotional during those days. I start overthinking every little stupid thing, which can actually end up making me tear up over absolutely nothing. It's just totally random...😁

hm... I guess reading this all helped me feel a little better.
My cycle just shows up whenever it feels like it. Sometimes it’ll skip six months and then land right on schedule. My cycle length is about 35 days, but other times I’ll just miss a month or two entirely. It actually happened three times in a row once. Then, when it finally decides to show up, it’s perfectly on time, almost as if nothing had happened the previous month.
I’ve been dodging the gynecologist for three years now. I just can't seem to make it in. First, I was dealing with some health insurance issues, so I got that sorted, then I landed a job, but then more health stuff popped up... it’s always something.
On top of everything else, there’s this nagging fear that they're going to tell me I can't have kids.
I know I'm being foolish and that I really need to go. I am definitely forcing myself to make that appointment this month!
