To be perfectly candid, I find the sheer chaos of cable clutter to be quite distasteful. I am currently photographing my own chassis so that I can upload the images shortly; perhaps once you have viewed them, you will better understand my perspective regarding this matter.😉

It’s kind of a mess, honestly—but hey, just a temporary fix until I can finally move everything into a decent case. This current one? Zero space to work with.

Haha, this whole thing with the Western Digital drives is pure madness...🙂
Seriously though, nice work...🙂

🙂Seriously though, pretty clever....
Next step? Maybe an elastic waistband to hold even more disks, but I'd probably need to build some custom shelving for that...
😁

It cuts down the vibrations significantly!
I honestly couldn't believe how much quieter everything runs now...
And don't look at me—my setup is built right into my desk... you should hear that thing go...😢

So why haven't you posted any photos yet?
You said you were going to...
Just show the exterior. I can't even tell what kind of case this is...🤷

placidcanyon2 said:Just some low-tier, junk PC Modding... 😁 It’s an old, beat-up Neverpower build; I drilled a hole for a 120mm fan in the front and fabricated custom drive mounts just to get decent airflow. For the GPU (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900), I slapped on a salvaged Cooler Master Hyper 212 heatsink, and I swapped out the fan in the PSU (Corsair H100). Thank God, I'm finally stuffing this mess into a decent case later this week.
This thing is basically 89% pure chaos... why did you even bother taking a photo of this?
You've got enough cables there to knit a pair of high-quality wool socks. ☕

Good grief... honestly, people, how do you manage to be so incapable of organizing a workspace? I’ll be posting photos of my own setup in a few days, and then you can all see what true order actually looks like inside a Matrix case.😁 😁

Raymond Hernandez14 said:Man, seriously... how do you guys not know how to organize your space? I’m gonna be posting pics of my own setup in a couple of days... then you'll finally see what actual order looks like inside a Matrix.😁 😁
👍 So, you mentioned the other day that you were gonna snap some photos... 😛

🤣 Check this out: trashy mod says... 😉.

To be perfectly honest, I fully intend to do so, but my schedule simply hasn't permitted it. If I find myself with a spare moment later today, I will get those uploaded. My apologies to everyone for the delay.🙂

Well... forgive me if the quality isn't quite there; considering I had to send this via a mobile MMS forwarded to my email, it’s a bit rough around the edges. However, I figured it was better to get something over to you all immediately rather than keeping you waiting indefinitely. Hehe.😁

Well, look at those UV neons... I ended up grabbing the one from 😁 Sharkoon 😁 with the XX stripes... because anything even remotely greenish or yellow really pops under this light. I’ll get my DSLR out soon so you can actually see the details clearly... honestly, almost every single jumper stands out. It looks pretty cool 😁... but I really need to grab a proper camera. This is just a quick snap from my phone so you guys can get a sense of my "CLEAN CABLE MANAGEMENT" 😉

Actually, those aren't even UV lights. They shouldn't glow that intensely. With true UV, you don't really "see" the light itself; you see whatever the light is hitting. That thing isn't UV—it looks more like a blue neon bulb.

Yeah, if you have a UV lamp, those cables should glow—like for a hard drive setup...
On those old power supplies, the cables were essentially "coated." It’s basically like how almost everyone buys sleeved cables now, except back then, they just glowed under UV light...

Back in the day with old power supplies, the cables were basically "coated"—similar to how almost everything comes sleeved nowadays—but the difference was they'd only glow under UV light...
I know exactly what you mean, I've got them right here. 😉
( Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up a "reversed" case? I don't quite know how to put it, but I mean a case where, say, when you're swapping out a GPU, the right side panel opens instead of the left. )

Joseph Carter9 said:Furthermore, they shouldn't even be using UV lights if they want to avoid excessive brightness. Their glow isn't actually "visible" in a traditional sense; rather, what you perceive is merely the effect they are meant to induce. That isn't true UV—it behaves much more like a blue neon light.
Fine... if that is how you choose to view it... the packaging explicitly states they are UV. If we assume the packaging is lying, then we must also conclude that the manufacturers themselves are being dishonest.!!!!!!☕

It’s clearly UV—you can tell by those white papers reflecting the light—but I find it a bit strange how much blue light is bleeding through. It really shouldn't be glowing blue; it ought to be a purple hue since we're talking about ultraviolet...
#680 ·
The color is honestly caught right in the middle—it’s not quite blue and it’s not quite a true UV glow.
Since those two colors sit right next to each other on the spectrum, it looks like they specifically designed this to hit that exact borderline.
