Can you actually make the needle swing left to right—you know, like when the bass hits on a subwoofer? I'm still a bit lost on the rest of this...

I want to figure out how to throttle the current coming from the power source so it trickles into the ammeter; I’m curious about the mechanics of making that happen. I'll admit, I was getting a bit too deep into my own head with the theorizing in my last post 😁

You’re getting all philosophical on me—honestly, I still haven't quite followed your train of thought...

It seems like the needle will just swing back and forth like a metronome 🙂

Like when the bass hits hard and that needle starts jumping all over the place?

Yes, though it seems a bit sluggish, almost as if there's some voltage fluctuation happening. He likely picked that up from a movie or some TV show. I actually considered putting together something similar about a year or two ago, but it never progressed past the idea stage—I just couldn't bring myself to deal with all the hassle. I know a few people who could have easily built it for me, but I was honestly just being lazy. Plus, those LED automotive ammeters can run you upwards of $300

Honestly, it’s just not worth the headache—all those complicated setups and schemes... you're better off just buying a pre-built and calling it a day.

I caught a glimpse of that setup in that custom PC Modding case... it would be interesting to see a chassis with a bit more of a Fallout aesthetic, 😍

When you asked about how to build an amp meter into a case, my first thought was this. As it turns out, I was right all along 👋
