wiredmarlin5: It was certainly intentional... don't worry... I am well aware that wasn't the intended outcome..😁 I am just sitting here waiting for my new liquid cooler to arrive.
And since you all seem so eager, here are the temperatures!! Just a quick snapshot for you.

I suspect it won't fit any other way because of the Northbridge heatsink.🤔

Here are the temperature readings for you to examine. It is worth noting that the clock speed is currently idling at a mere 2.4 GHz; had I pushed the frequency higher, these temperatures would undoubtedly be even more elevated. My plan is to acquire an additional fan, reposition the existing one correctly, and finally configure the entire setup according to proper specifications:

What kind of temps are you seeing?

From what I can tell, that blue fan on the side is blowing directly into it. It’s not exactly like the Sonic lacks airflow; that blue fan is sitting maybe an inch or two away, which is basically the same as being mounted right onto it. Honestly, it would be much more efficient if one fan was actually attached to the Sonic, and if you could just flip that blue one to blow in the opposite direction.

And yeah, that case of yours is tiny—that massive Sonic just makes it look even smaller.

It would be far more logical if one vent were mounted directly onto the Sonic itself, while the blue one was repositioned to blow in the opposite direction.

As for the temperature... hmm... perhaps somewhere in the 140-150°F range.

And yes, your chassis is incredibly small; that large Sonic just makes the whole thing look even more cramped.

My intention was for the case to serve as a centerpiece, so I am currently painting it. I haven't settled on a color scheme yet, but I plan to add a potentiometer at the top and carve a large ATI logo into the bottom; it’s going to require some fine detail work with a small saw. Besides, if people managed to squeeze an X2 into a build like this without even using a J-channel—not to mention doing it in a CF—then I certainly don't need to worry about running out of room!😁

@Raymond Hernandez14/">@@Raymond Hernandez14: fluctuations in temperature between the processor and the first or second core 😕

What exactly is the issue here? It is merely a 2°C difference... surely that isn't something I should be losing sleep over.

Well, it says here the CPU is at 22°C, while the first and second cores are sitting at 40°C and 38°C respectively.
That leaves us with a delta of about 12°C.

Sure, it might be acting up occasionally... but I honestly don't notice anything unusual regarding the processor's performance. In my estimation, there shouldn't be any cause for concern here.

that's a gap of about 12 degrees...

A twelve-degree spread😕?

You really ought to download Core Temp just to get a proper look at those actual temperatures... and

It is almost comical how completely oblivious he remains to the situation at hand... truly quite amusing.😁😁😂

Does anyone happen to know where I could pick up something like this for my fans in Chicago?

What do you all think—would it actually be worth my while to cut out a section of the top panel to make room for the vent fans? I'm torn between just cutting through that black shroud or perhaps installing some plexiglass instead... what's your take?😕😕 )??
I simply cannot get over this image—it’s absolutely striking! Looking at this setup really gets my gears turning—though, perhaps, a bit too much—about the sheer level of detail involved in high-end PC modding. It is quite a sight to behold, isn't it? One can only imagine the hours of meticulous labor poured into such a project—truly, a masterclass in craftsmanship!
I’ve been staring at this photo for quite a while now—honestly, maybe a bit too long—and I just can't get over the sheer scale of it! It is absolutely massive! Looking at the way everything is laid out, you really get a sense of the ambition involved here—though, I must admit, my own DIY skills are nowhere near this level of precision. I'd probably end up with a pile of spare screws and a very frustrated expression on my face! Still, it's truly impressive to see such a dedicated setup. What do you all think? Is it overkill, or just right?

In my honest opinion, I wouldn't cut it.

But if you really want to go through with it, 🙂

start by cutting the plastic first. Cut a smaller hole initially, then hand-sand the edges with sandpaper to get a cleaner finish. You should work your way up from 800 grit all the way to 2000.

After that, put the plastic back in place and mark the hole onto the metal chassis. Cut a slightly larger opening so the metal edge isn't visible underneath. Finally, sand the hole again using a bit of coarser sandpaper.

So where's the power supply going? You running it external? 😁

Honestly... haha... this power supply is absolutely top-tier... 😁 It’s practically bursting at the seams because there's no room left in the chassis, but it handles the load without breaking a sweat!!

Oh, I am certainly not going to be the one to mess things up again—I'd much rather just put it on a clear panel instead!
