I’m hurting here :/ .. For about a week now, it feels like I’m covered in bruises—tender, sore to the touch, and I have zero clue why :/ .. It seems like the left side is hitting me a bit harder than the right.

Nobody laid a hand on me, I haven't bumped into anything, and I’m not even due for my period.. it just hurts :/ .. At first, I thought maybe it was because I sleep on my stomach, but I’ve always slept that way—it would be weird for it to suddenly feel like I'm being crushed out of nowhere.

Any ideas?

Feeling some tightness in your chest? Could be a wire... maybe.

Not quite... truth be told, I switched up my bra style about six months ago—but that was six months ago.

So, did you go running or play some high-impact sport without a sports bra, or have you just always had a larger bust?

I think we need a photo; this might be getting serious 🙂

Hopefully they're growing

They hit full size about a year after puberty kicked in—basically been the same size since 1998 😁. I’m 23 😉. My bra size is an 85D or a 38A... and no, I don't do anything high-impact or bouncy :/

What if you aren't actually pregnant?

Thought the same thing. But honestly, I think the kids would figure it out on their own...😬

And honestly, there are some people out there who just don't seem to get it, even after a few months. It’s like... you know how sometimes you're explaining a simple concept to a friend, like how to use a new app or why a certain rule exists, and they just stare at you with that blank look? Like their brain is buffering? Yeah, it's kind of like that. You spend all this time trying to be clear, being patient, maybe even over-explaining, and yet, months later, it’s still a total mystery to them. It’s a bit frustrating, I guess, but also kind of funny if you think about it. Just a strange little quirk of human nature, I suppose.
So, I was talking to this girl from my old college class the other day, and she told me something that honestly blew my mind. She was actually pregnant for like three months, but she thought she was just having her period the whole time. It’s wild how the body works, right? Like, you think you know what's going on, you're following the usual routine, and then suddenly you realize you were living a completely different reality. It’s kind of like when you think you’ve finished a massive project at work, maybe something huge like a big quarterly report for a firm in Chicago, only to realize you missed a whole section entirely. You’re just cruising along, totally unaware, until someone points out the truth. Nature is just... unpredictable, I guess. One minute everything seems normal, and the next, your whole world shifts.

I felt the same way, honestly, but I can't really see why someone would lie about stuff like that. Like, what's the point? I'm with you though, better to just head to the doctor and get it checked out properly...

Look... I know someone who went 3 or 4 months without a period, and she wasn't pregnant at all. 😛 Hormones can completely wreck your system...

The discomfort can kick in right when ovulation begins... where are you currently in your cycle?

For me, the aches started about two weeks before my period hit... but now that I'm in my fertile window, they're starting to get all sensitive to the touch again... kind of the same pattern. 90 D 😬

I'm on the pill—pregnancy isn't even an option 😱... so, I’ve finished eight pills after my week off, which puts me at day 20 of my cycle. I'm basically just waiting for my period to hit—and that's why my abdomen is hurting. It never used to hurt like this. Now I'm just confused again. 😲

Should I see a GP... or should I go ahead and schedule an appointment with my OB-GYN?

Look, it's day 20 of your cycle. Of course your breasts are going to be sore. It doesn't matter if they've never hurt before—there's always a first time for everything! For me, it’s totally unpredictable. One month they ache, the next they don't; one month my ovaries start hurting the second ovulation kicks in, and the next... there's just no set rule. So please, don't worry too much. It is completely normal for them to be tender!

I’m with Donna Peterson78 on this one.🙂
Honestly, everything feels just plain off to me if I don't start feeling those cramps and aches about ten days before my period hits.

It’s probably just your hormones acting up.
Mine used to get super swollen and tender from the middle of my cycle until my period started—like 15 days of constant pain. I went in for an ultrasound since they won't even touch you with a mammogram if you're under 40; the technician practically kicked me out when I tried to badger her for a referral. Anyway, the lady doing the ultrasound told me it's totally normal for things to swell and ache like that when you're 29.
