You have Apple up on the hill at 3pm, and then there's that local dive bar—I can't remember the name, but I know on Fridays you get two beers for the price of one (or maybe that's just Fridays, I don't know, last time I was there it happened to be a Friday 😬). There's also that pub where, for some reason I can't wrap my head around, a massive crowd gathers every single weekend (maybe a little less on weekdays) just to stand around, sit on the sidewalk, and drink, drink, and drink... I guess I'm just getting old, so maybe it's lost on me. I have plenty of other spots I can list later if you want 😁, but those are the "in" places right now 😉
But you always end up with the same conclusion: if the company is good, the location doesn't matter 😉. At least that's true for me. As long as you aren't freezing or getting soaked, everything is fine .

Except for the whole issue of guys hitting on women... since I'm a woman and couldn't care less about that😬 ,but Apple is just awful. Even being a chronic drinker doesn't help; I'm dying from the indescribably stupid, disjointed music after only thirty minutes spent there. And then those pseudo-goth girls who spend half their time staring at themselves in the mirror... honestly, give me a break.
When is an actual, decent rock club finally going to open in this hellhole of a city like Chicago?!?

The first time I went, it was great. After that? Every single time, it just gets worse. I can't quite put my finger on it... you go expecting one thing, and then...
It really ticked me off once when we tried to get in after a show (around 2:30 AM on a Saturday) and some guy actually tried to charge us for $23 admission, even though the concert was already over. Like, seriously? Fuck off.
Then there are the weird women hitting the paper holders 😁, some arrogant guy working the door, and a bartender who looks at you like you're a total idiot. Maybe it’s different now, who knows!
And don't even get me started on the whole Rammstein sympathy thing.😁
