No FNC Diverzant at the first big outdoor show in Austin 😲
It’s gonna be like the very first concert little Anja ever hears 😍

🤣 👍
on topic: I got an album from the Misfits (like, thinking it was amazing) back when I was just a kid. It was given to me by some "cool" older guy, and we haven't really hung out much since then..

Look, listen. The Misfits are easily one of the greatest pop bands in history, right up there with the Ramones, the Beatles, and Steve McQueen. Watch your mouth. The issue with this version of the Misfits is they’re playing without a frontman who actually had a voice, talent, songwriting chops, or any real charisma—just a bunch of three or four nobodies who don't represent anything. If they were the real Misfits, I'd be on my knees... :2up:

Well, that's a bit harsh! I guess it sounds like I'm just being incredibly difficult about this whole situation, almost like I'm throwing a massive tantrum over nothing. Maybe I am being a little dramatic, but I didn't mean to come off that way! 😠
Hey @ivana: Honestly, the Misfits are just essential listening at this point—total classics. I guess there’s a chance you might have picked up one of those newer releases that doesn't feature Glenn? 🤮

Yeah, my bad on the comments about those three or four losers. Robo is a legend... 🙏 🙏 🙏 But I’m still skipping the show because of the drummer, damn it.

Google, Google... (I can only picture the cover)... It's the Famous Monsters album. I know they used to print lyrics in the liner notes, and one particular verse stuck in my head (copy/paste): If I cut off your arms and cut off your legs
Would you still love me anyway?
There's a spot on the floor where your limbs used to be
And I close the door on my fantasies
Why don't you love me anyway? 🙄
To me, that whole vibe is totally uninteresting, if not completely pointless. Say whatever you want, but honestly, (gentlepuma20 alert 😬 ) , I have never been able to wrap my head around those whole vampire-satanic-virgin-sacrifice-bloodthirsty tropes or the people and bands that obsess over them.

Personally, I find all that stuff pretty uninteresting—I might even go as far as saying it's kind of pointless. You guys can say what you want, but honestly (gentlepuma20 alert 😬 ) , I've just never quite understood those whole vampire-satanic-virgin-sacrifice-bloodthirsty tropes or bands...

I mean, you shouldn't take the Misfits seriously even when they're being crazy; then again, I suppose I'd have some trauma too if I'd only ever heard that pop-metal garbage from the record labels🙂

So now the whole damn forum is dogpiling me. Great. You happy now? Because I sure as hell am not. 😢

Not quite. That isn't really the Misfits. You can't have them without Glenn Danzig. Besides, their whole vibe wasn't about Satanism or vampires—it was all about those tacky B-horror flicks. It’s basically just The Cramps, only played much harder and more aggressively...🙂
