I get why you people in the South love it; you enjoy that laid-back vibe where you can shuffle the deck, pause to whip up some lunch, check the news, call your cousins, and then just jump back into the hand like nothing happened. And depending on the mood or where you're sitting, you probably love bending the rules to suit yourselves—it’s just how you roll. But for us Midwest types? When we sit down for a game, we want structure. We want rules. If you play a card wrong, everyone starts yelling at you and making life difficult. And if you happen to hold four aces along with some high trump cards and end up sweeping the table, you better write it down clearly on the scorecard so everyone knows exactly how you took their chips while defending your own. Sure, there are always those reckless souls who try to mess with these age-old traditions by pushing their own little agendas, but we shut that down pretty quickly. Rules are what make it work. Period.
LET'S GO, ST. LOUIS! 👋
Rules. Whatever.
