And ugh, here we go again—that total hangover from last week... I mean, what is it with this damn American way of doing things where the week starts on Sunday? It just throws everything off balance...

Hey, how can I set up that scrobbler and all that? Like, I've got it on Last.fm, but I'm totally lost on how to actually configure it, you know?

Congress said:Today's #1 lyric:
1. Morrissey - On the Streets I Ran:

and when the palmist said:'one thursday you will be dead', i said:'no, not me this cannot be, dear god, take him, take them, take anyone. the still-born, the new-born, the infirm-take anyone. take people from pittsburgh, pennsylvania, just spare me!'

Jesus isn't going to forgive him for that.

It’s bad enough that the musical backdrop for these "drama queen" compositions is so shamelessly cheap—take The Quarry, for example, that overhyped indie (glam) rock. Honestly, the songs are tragic. Come on, Stephen. Stephen, you really are something else. Am I really stuck with "Everyday is like Sunday" being my only decent Morrissey single forever? Fine, I'll admit it, I wasn't paying close enough attention between 1991 and 2004.

I feel like I’ve already pointed this out several times across various threads, but apparently, I’m talking to a room full of blind people here:

Tony Hawk!
There is only one Tony Hawk!

It’s actually pretty wild, since it should be reminding me of being a teenager... I guess I just keep mixing him up with Ari Pekka Nikola. My bad, total sin on my part.
But honestly, it could be way worse since I keep confusing Jesus Lizard, Cowboy Junkies, and Judas Priest! 😁

Dyslexia strikes again!

Best mod move since getting back from Indianapolis:
- nuking that T.a.t.u. thread

Worst mod move since getting back from Indianapolis:
- deleting the Alex, Tim, and Kedjo threads (I only grabbed the first one of Vochkov's files from RapidShare, figured I'd better listen to the rest of them properly later today...) 😢

I honestly couldn't care less about that whole gay Caesar thing—but man, that T.A.T.U. topic? That was easily one of the best discussions we've ever had! 🙏

As for Rong, after last night's blowout loss in Indianapolis, he’s basically right up there with the worst players in the league—just straight-up useless. 😠

Watched it last night.

1. Brokeback Mountain, Wyoming

2. Herding sheep on horseback

3. That naked plunge into a green mountain river in August—man, I live for stuff like that.
(It actually reminded me of that scene with the mast in "White squall" or that sheer beauty in "the Beach")

4. Roughly:
Yeah, two cowboys lived on a nearby ranch, pretty rough characters. They found the older one beaten to death in a ditch one morning. They were pulling on his junk until it basically ripped off. I wouldn't bet my life my old man wasn't there that night.

5. The scene with Twist's parents

Sure, they could have had their own ranch surrounded by rainbow-colored barbed wire.
You can imagine how that would go.

Brutal pastoralism.

Solid enough movie.

It was a blast, but honestly, they should've just deleted it.

The absolute worst nightmare I had during my nap today:
1. I ran into Jason Chavez32 while we were out hiking. This little stocky dude with thick lips was wearing a shirt that said "Jason Chavez32" on the back. We were grinding our way up this massive incline—and seriously, constant uphill climbs are my personal definition of hell—searching for some party out in the middle of nowhere. On the bright side: the guy was carrying two jugs of wine, and it actually tasted decent. Too bad he made me lug one of them... though, thank God, we kept stopping so he could lighten the load by drinking half of it... 😂

Screw hills. :2up:
