The 3 most annoying songs ever written

1. Las Ketchup - The Ketchup Song
2. Obsession (basically the same kind of garbage as the Ketchup song)

3. After Eight mints 🙂

😲 Only third place?!? Seriously?

Here is my list of the top 5 food-fascist agendas currently running this forum:

1. People who live for marzipan 🙂
2. The yogurt-obsessed crowd 🙄
3. The absolute madness of putting mayo on pancakes :mayonese:
4. The vegetable extremists 🥕
5. The tea snobs—you know, the Elvis and NTX types 😬

So, we're really doing this now? Are we actually sitting around discussing housewives in some kind of suburban basement? Is that where we've landed? 🤔

It’s not about sipping on something sweet; it's about actually having some bread to eat.

I honestly think the most intense food fascism on this forum revolves around cheeseburgers, though it’s so deeply ingrained in our culture that at first glance, you might mistake it for something even more fundamental to our identity.

They basically left out the Rolls-Royce size on purpose so nobody would start typing out those massive dimensions 😉

I mean, at the end of the day, truth is what matters. Just get yourself a Rolls-Royce Ghost and call it a day. ☕

Is there some kind of food fascism happening on this forum?
I mean, it’s not like it isn't happening...
It’s just that sometimes people have a point, and sometimes they don't.

Look, sliders are great when they actually taste good, which—let's be real—is a rare occurrence.
As for breakfast burritos—man, just cuff me and let me listen to Strauss in peace, but I have to say it: most of them are straight-up garbage.
But whatever you do, don't you dare touch the marzipan.

Narantxa said:I wouldn't call myself a tea drinker, per se. I mostly just stick to mint—and if you want to argue whether that even counts as "tea," image 😬 go ahead.

Fair enough. I wasn't paying close enough attention when this topic came up earlier to ask for clarification, but let me see if I have this straight: so, in your book, neither rosehip nor chamomile qualifies as actual tea? You’re strictly sticking to the stuff made from leaves, like green or black tea? I suppose I agree that those fruit blends loaded with artificial additives don't really count either, but chamomile comes from flowers and rosehip comes from berries—they bring their own flavor to the party without needing much help. But then again, mint is just leaves, isn't it?

pule :) said:okay, I wasn't really paying close attention when that topic came up earlier, so let me ask—so, for you, rosehip tea or chamomile tea don't actually count as "real" tea? Is it just stuff made from leaves (like green or black)? Because I suppose fruit infusions with extra additives aren't true teas either, but chamomile comes from flowers and rosehip comes from berries that have their own aroma. They don't need much intervention, right? But then again, mint is made from leaves too, isn't it?

1.1. What is tea?

Tea is a beverage created by infusing the leaves of the tea plant (_Camellia
sinensis_, or _Thea sinensis_) in hot water. The term 'tea' is also used
to describe the leaves themselves; additionally, it refers to a mid- to
late-afternoon meal in the United States and Associated territories, where
tea (the drink) is served alongside various snacks and foods.

1.2. What are the different kinds of tea?

There are three primary categories: green, black, and oolong. All three
types come from the exact same plant species. The main distinctions
between them stem from the varying processing methods they
undergo. Black teas are oxidized for several hours during
preparation; oolongs undergo less oxidation, while green teas
aren't oxidized at all.

and so on... image

But we were specifically talking about that sugary goodness!

I actually tried searching to see how many times people have brought up those specific sliders, but this garbage search engine can't find a single mention.😢

My ultimate breakfast leaderboard:

1. Sunny-side up eggs with bacon and some 100% orange juice
2. A deli meat platter paired with black tea
3. Pizza or various savory pies, maybe with yogurt—or honestly, kefir is even better
4. A massive sandwich (we’re talking turkey, salami, ham, all kinds of cheese, onions, tartar sauce, mustard, etc.) plus yogurt or preferably kefir
5. Boiled hot dogs with plenty of mustard and a cup of black tea
6. Pâté (but only if it was actually high-quality before being processed, and let's skip the poultry options entirely!) or just peanut butter 😍 accompanied by black tea
7. Kellogg's cereals—oatmeal, rice flakes, or chocolate muesli (but absolutely NO freaking raisins! :2up: ) or, I guess, a mix of everything together
8. Sausages boiled with way too much mustard and some black tea
9. Fish served with veggies and black tea
10. Cottage cheese with cream and extra hot sauce, or just plain cottage cheese, with black tea

As for bread, I'm thinking rye, multigrain, sourdough, or maybe some pita or flatbread

I’m stealing that line. I haven't actually had any of those fancy regional styles yet (yeah, I know that sounds dumb, but thinking about Nicholas Perez33 just cracked me up)...

Topic from last night's hangout: is there actually a third hit song with "square" in the title?

My top two are definitely:
1. Huey Lewis and The News - hip to be square
2. Ali Corley - Square rooms
3. ?
Maybe something involving Times Square?
It's worth noting both those tracks are straight out of the mid-eighties, back when everything from the music to the graphic design was all about those sharp, blocky shapes...
Man, what a pointless rabbit hole we went down last night...

Coldplay - Square One 😳

The second you hear anything from Coldplay - Square One, you just know it’s going to be a massive hit.
