Wes Anderson is great—but Kurosawa is a god.

And you really shouldn't look at any other directors besides him... 😁

Or we could just look at it this way

John Smith vs. Czechs... John Smith wins, obviously
Finn vs. Swedes... Finn takes it hands down
Austrians vs. Germans... Germans, because let's be honest, it's one of the few times they actually get to pick on someone
Chinese vs. Japanese... Chinese, for sure, all those flashy gadgets and junk
Canadians vs. Mexicans (insert your own preference here)
Canadians vs. anyone else... anyone else😬

I don't know what kind of "criteria" you're working with, but I just look at who’s the better player overall. Even though Teemu Selanne is an absolute phenomenon—and apparently a great buddy of my favorite, Paul Kariya, which probably gives him some major likability points in my book—I still think Mats Sundin edges him out slightly. There. Done.

If the goal here was to bait me because I have a thing for Swedes, then yeah, obviously Sundin is my pick. But if that was actually the plan... well, let's settle this right now: I'd happily take both of them home, so they can just go play their game out on the balcony.😁

Wes Anderson is alright, but Kurosawa is on another level entirely.

Woody? Did you suddenly get younger and pick up an American accent? 😲 😬

Stanislav Zasada was an absolute beast behind the wheel in rally... 😳

That's just how it is.

I haven't really kept up with the last couple of championships, but Selanne always stuck with me more than Sundin did. Honestly, it’s probably because of the style of play... I’ve always had a soft spot for that Nordic hockey vibe. Nobody plays quite as smooth or fluidly as they do, so I naturally gravitate toward those players. For me, Jari Kurri is still probably my all-time favorite player, even ahead of the legendary Wayne Gretzky... It's funny how Canadians and those guys from the North always seem to hit it off. Says a lot about the people involved...

😲 A John Smith without a mustache? Yeah, right... something about that just doesn't sit right with me...

Overload is an absolute must—it’s honestly baffling how this hasn't made the top lists yet:

The ultimate ice creams:>>
1. Macho Chocolate
2. 2. King double 3. King Quattro
3. 2. King double 3. King Quattro
4. That new Macho chocolate one (I can't quite remember the exact specs)

The best cakes:>>
1. Reform cake (that perfect 50/50 split of chocolate and walnuts)
2. Chocolate cake (also a 50/50 chocolate and walnut situation)
3. through 100.—everything else, provided they have the same ingredients in roughly the same proportions

The best pizza in NYC:>>
1. Kariola 🙂>
2. Mississippi River style
3. Literally anything as long as it isn't Domino's🤮>

The closest thing to a true Eastern European flatbread in NYC:>>
1. Rubelj—call my taste buds weird if you want, but what can I say? It’s the only one that actually carries that smoky flavor🙂>

Hey, Kevin Chavez3, 😘 give me two spots in Indianapolis where I can grab some eats—specifically, what was that place right by the train station, and does it stay open all night? 😍 Also, tell me which trendy commercial club we should hit up this Saturday if we really want to get wasted. Or maybe just a bar or a brewery, as long as it’s actually popular and not some underground alternative dive where my friends will bail on me.
Oh, and I need a park where people actually hang out to drink, plus a store nearby that stays open late, maybe something along the lines of an Importante grocery chain.

Come on, man, spill it. I’m so hyped for a weekend in Indianapolis that I literally just made a bowl of Kellogg's soup from a packet. See how pathetic I am? 🙂

A new pub just opened up in Fort Worth, and word on the street is it's actually quite good. They have an extensive selection of beers 🙂

What occasion would get you out there? 😁

😢

They are heading to Hamburg this weekend. I was considering a trip to Indianapolis, but does it really make sense to spend $53 on a return flight when nothing much is happening that weekend anyway? 😢 😁

We’re heading out to play some tabletop games this Saturday, and we'll be staying through Sunday afternoon. Anthony He finally sorted out my sleep schedule for me. $100 I'm looking for two triple rooms. 🙏He’s the big boss around here, and honestly, if I can't figure out what's actually going on from you people on this forum, I'll just go straight to Anthony to get the real story.

Look, if you’re hunting for upscale pubs or trendy cafes, just head over to Fort Worth and see what sticks—there are about ten spots packed into a tiny two-block radius, so it's easy to scout them all out. I’d personally suggest the newly opened Old Bridge pub.

Regarding food—for a late-night bite, you can't beat Downtown near the train station (it's always open), but stay far away from cevapi (easily the worst food on the planet). Go for shepherd's pie, chili, or maybe a burger instead. The downside is it's quite a trek from Fort Worth, though there are a few cheap burger trailers in the Fort Worth area—total trash, but they do the trick when you've been drinking. There's also a restaurant called "K topu" right by Old Bridge where you can grab a decent stuffed burger all night long for $5.00. For daytime meals... well, back in Indianapolis, I mostly ate at my mom's place; otherwise, I was a broke student and couldn't afford restaurants. If you want pizza, Sebastian in Schenectady and As in Downtown (near the market) are pretty solid. I heard there's a great spot in Retfala, Canada, where you can get all kinds of garlic liver and baked beans for peanuts, but I've never actually been and can't recall the name. A Slavonian house in Fort Worth should be the gold standard for seafood, but I think it's overpriced. The only somewhat decent cevapi is at Benny's, which is actually at the Downtown bakery—not really downtown, but near Schenectady and the Student Union. Just don't eat them in Downtown, like I said, or at the More bakery, which isn't near the Ocean, but just right next to the Downtown bakery. I only keep supporting the Downtown spot because a guy there once gave me $8.25 after I washed his windows at a gas station; I boycott More because a guy there refused to give me a $10 burger for $3.00 when I was broke. 🙂
