Gee... they keep shouting "garage," so just decide for yourself who's actually in the wrong. 🙂

mcnugget and I are both part of the good and the bad, 😈 but maybe even a little bit of the worse kind of evil 😈 😈 out of nowhere if I can just wrap my head around it properly.

Mr. Wrong said:It’s not about being obsessed with Pittsburgh. It’s just about choosing the lesser of two evils.😁

(Look, everyone knows I love them all; I'm just giving you a snapshot of how things look in Indianapolis)

It’s about what comes next. That’s where things actually improve.😁

Mr. Wrong said:2) Man, that's just a Washington, D.C. delusion. People here love splitting the US into "the city" and "the middle of nowhere," so anything outside the I-95 corridor sounds the same to them. But accents from Pittsburgh or Indianapolis aren't even close—they're totally different.

of course they aren't. it's just one long... 😍

It’s not a potato—it’s a spud😂
Total nonsense
I’ve never heard anyone talk like that—honestly, I barely know anyone who would actually use that phrase
Even my own kids call their notebooks "folders" and refer to animals—whether they're stuffed toys or the real deal at the San Diego Zoo—as "critters"😲

So, my old college buddy—total Washington, D.C. girl through and through—decided to swap out Times Square for BlackRock in her speech today.
Good grief, is there no limit to this nonsense!!!

Why am I not at the top of this list? 😢 Let's go. 🙂

Today's highlights:
3. Coffee with my old classmates, where we concluded that some people are genetically doomed to have thick knees that no amount of physical therapy can fix. Poor things. Then I saw one of those knees. It looked exactly like mine. I have thick knees too. 😲
2. Painting with oils this evening just as the courtyard turned freezing, and since it isn't my courtyard, I can't exactly head inside to get warm.
1. Maria broke her arm and now she's stuck indoors, leaving me to realize I have nobody else to call because everyone is scattered across various islands, small towns, and major US cities.

Happy birthday to me. 😢

Elvis Presley said:A girl I went to college with—a total Chicago native—actually used the term "CHICAGAN" instead of just saying Chicago.
Good grief, is there no limit to this stuff!!!

🤣 What kind of "Chicago native" is she? That’s just ridiculous. My grandma definitely wouldn't have said "Chicagan"—bless her soul.

I don't really get it, language shifts all the time, and you weren't exactly using the term "herbs" back in the day either.

I recall that when I was growing up, we mostly just said "greens" or "plants," though by the time I hit high school, everyone had started using "veg" instead.🙄

Here’s my top list of the latest slang terms floating around the streets of Chicago:
🙏"Sengules" (for sandwiches)

The other day I showed my kid these incredibly cool shoes—thinking they'd make a killer gift—and she basically told me she wouldn't wear them if she were dead. And here I was, thinking I was actually trendy and hip. 😢 Honestly, you hit the nail on the head. Oh, and that slang term you used? It’s officially part of my vocabulary starting tomorrow

Don't even attempt to decode a child's palate. It's the first rule of parenting. 😁

Everything is constantly shifting, and honestly, it’s so frustrating when my oldest insists on hunting for new sneakers. 😬

I always tell my mom that I find it repulsive when she insists things are beautiful, regardless of whether they actually are or not.😬

Cruel, isn't it?
😳
I get along much better with my mom since she actually has an eye for decent things. But when my dad starts picking out my clothes, it's a total disaster.

Shopping with my mom is actually easy since she has great taste, but when my dad starts picking out clothes, it's a total disaster. 😬

See, I have the exact opposite problem. My husband finds everything perfect, but he's clueless. Like the other day, I went to buy sneakers and found a gorgeous pair. He asked for a size 12, bought them for himself, and I was just standing there thinking he was asking for my size. 😢
