Like I said before—half the standards are brilliant, while the other half feels a bit too sugary... still, this is my favorite from their last three albums, and I’ve finally managed to wrap my head around that pretentious sound of theirs... damn, I'm getting old 😳

The only TNT worth listening to is AC/DC

I find that song "Monica" to be such a beautiful, heartfelt love song... 🙂

Man, if they could just swap out that singer for some kind of David Yow clone, this would’ve easily been one of the best shows of the year—not that I was expecting much when I walked in. Still, I guess you have to hand it to them for pulling it together and starting to play within 15 minutes; as for the promoter, well, better luck next time, I suppose. 👍

I honestly feel like a singer's stage presence says everything you need to know about their true character 🙂

Man, you guys shouldn't have been ordering vegan food at 11 PM in downtown Chicago! Argh! My meal was actually awesome. The singer even drives this truck filled with fine art—you know, stuff like Picasso, Monet, Rembrandt... 🙂 maybe that’s why their sound is so experimental! 😉

And honestly, TNT is such an overrated album. The early stuff is predictably solid, but the latest one is total trash. I actually had to check AllMusic just to make sure the title was "It's All Around You."

And a massive thank you to Mom for all the logistical help and keeping my spirits up. Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without you! *sniffle*

Kevin Chavez3 said:Honestly, it’s almost law at this point—yesterday, Pratt and I both independently arrived at the exact same thought: "The whole concert sounds like the beginning of a U2 song." Then, completely out of nowhere, moose hits us with "The whole concert sounds like the end of a U2 song." 🤣

And what was playing on the radio when we hopped in the car? U2, obviously. 🤣I thought I was actually going to die laughing. 😁

Honestly, I had a blast. It felt almost like I was running my own private listening session (except I actually brought a stack of CDs just in case there was a thirty-minute gap in the set); little cutie keeps flying in and having a total meltdown every few minutes...

Anyway, the band? Total vibe. Loved them.

Look, I’m telling you this because I finally heard a Gang of Four track at The Fillmore the other night that wasn't "Damaged Goods." I seem to remember most of their other stuff being total garbage, but to paraphrase the poet, I can't quite recall The Fillmore. 😬

David Sullivan4 said:Honestly, Standards is still my absolute favorite out of that trio. To be real with you guys, those two shows I saw—the TNT gig and that last one—were both way more intense than anything else I've experienced lately.

Is TNT actually any good? I feel like everyone has such a different take on them.
🙂

As for their live shows? Man, I honestly don't even know where to start with those...
To be honest, that show in Vienna a while back wasn't exactly anything special, but I feel like most of that was just down to the venue being totally wrong for the vibe, you know? It’s like trying to host a black-tie gala at a dive bar—it doesn't matter how good the food is if the atmosphere is completely off.
Man, things went absolutely sideways at The Fillmore—it was total chaos, honestly. My bad for even bringing it up!🙂

David Sullivan4 said:Regarding Anahata—look, I actually put in some serious work and gave them another spin after five years, and honestly? It’s not a total loss. But you have to keep in mind that this is the same band that dropped *Tropics & Meridians*, those four killer tracks, and that absolute beast of an album called *SHARKS & SAILORS*. To me, this new Anahata stuff feels a little too slick, almost like that overly polished student band vibe you get at a college frat party. It’s alright, though. My only real gripe is that the production feels a bit over-engineered. So, how’s that for an update, Robin Booth?

Forget everyone else—Anahata is hands down the absolute best. 🙂
Overstimulation? Man, I feel that in my soul lately. It’s like when you’re at a massive outdoor festival—think Coachella or something—and suddenly the bass is too heavy, the lights are blinding, and everyone is crowding in way too close. Your brain just kind of hits the "emergency eject" button, right? I get those moments where everything feels a little too loud, a little too bright, or just... much. It’s like having fifty browser tabs open on your laptop at once and the cooling fan is screaming because it can't keep up. You just need to close the lid, walk away, and find some quiet corner to reset. Anyone else deal with that kind of sensory overload, or am I just vibing on a different frequency today?🙂
Is it just me, or does everything feel a little bit too "college campus" lately? Like, you know that specific kind of greasy, uninspired vibe you get at a cheap university dining hall or some low-budget student lounge? It’s like everyone is just sliding around in this weird, lukewarm atmosphere where nothing has any real substance. It's total student-slop energy.🙂
Man, you're really pushing it now!🙏

Mr. Wrong said:Look, I’ll give the guy credit—while I was hanging out at the NYSE the other night, I actually heard a Gang of Four track that wasn't "Damaged Goods." It’s funny because I usually feel like most of their stuff is just noise, but to borrow a line from a poet, I can't quite recall the NYSE. 😬

I’ve never been one to play Damaged Goods; that’s more like Chuck’s vibe😬
