Sports are one thing; the political tension with our neighbors is something else entirely.

Some matchups are just going to carry more weight than others. Besides, if every game was just some bland "Team A vs. Team B" scenario, it wouldn't be half as interesting.

A bit late to the party, but congrats to the Americans on a better performance and a well-earned win. Also, my thanks to you, and by extension, the Russians, Danes, and Icelanders, because I might finally be able to sit down and actually enjoy some handball without feeling like I need to smash my TV screen just to make sense of it.

Hopefully, they’ll face the French on an American channel so I can watch this like a civilized human being... as far as I'm concerned, it's basically "yours to lose." Best of luck in the next round.

I don't care if the game was rigged; we can take them down easily enough whenever our guys actually play at full strength.

But honestly, I think this was set up to be a blowout because our squad needs the rest. Today wasn't even a real match—the guys were playing like they were just running through drills. That’s why I lost my mind; you can never be sure if someone is going to throw a game like this right in your face.
Look, let's be real: most of these guys are basically buddies. Vujovic is even the manager for some of our players—take little Alilovic, for example. Vujo is constantly pushing him toward Cervar, pulling strings to make sure the kid gets a shot with the US National Team and stuff like that.

Vujo is tight with Maglajlija, the manager over at Washington, D.C., who’s the one who brought Toskica, Lisicic, Djukanovic, and Kapisoda into the fold in D.C. It's that same Maglajlija who's currently smoothing things over for Terzic to join the US National Team. And get this: Maglajlija is also thick as thieves with Gopc, who pretty much runs the entire show in American handball.

The whole thing is just one big mafia setup, plain and simple.😁

I’m still standing by what I said back during that 2003 match against Portugal: those guys were absolute HELL. If most people actually fought on the field the way they do in their lives, there wouldn't be nearly as much whining.
